They sent me a text instructions on how to obtain my key from a lock box. it only said **Please Read** when it popped up, so I thought it was spam and didn’t open it. When I got to the property there was no one in the office so I called. They asked if I had received their text and I said I hadn’t and they were going to send someone over. I then checked my texts and found it and called them back to not come. It would have been far better if they had put **Apple Tree Inn** at the top of the text so I would have known it was legitimate and opened it.

Beds were comfy, room was spacious and clean. Great bar & grill (Heroes) across the street ( closes @ 8 pm) with burgers, pizza, and live music when we stayed there. Also an awesome bakery and small coffee shop across the street for morning meals. There is also a fancy “Farm to Table” restaurant next door that looked expensive.

Not actually in Julian, 3 miles west in Wynona. Also, no one in the front desk, have to text manager. Strangest part was that you only get one key per room and the door only locks from the inside by using the key.

Nice remodeled room and we like parking our car close to our room. Very clean and comfortable. The a/c unit wasn’t turned on when we got there, but once it was on, cooled the room off quickly. We will most definitely come back to this hotel again! Loved that restaurants are right next door as well as a bakery across the street!

Just some suggestions: Please include written instructions on how to use the tv remote/Direct TV and the other remote as well. Had to ask the innkeeper how to use. Please include a hair dryer in the bathroom and include 2 additional pillows for the bed (perhaps in the closet if needed?). We didn’t want to bother the innkeeper. Also please include wash cloths and a bath mat to step on after showering and a non-slip shower mat. We also would have liked to have the pool open until 9 or 10 at night; 7 pm is a bit early to close a pool.

All was clean, except when I went to take a shower, there was a Tree Frog on the shower faucet. After my shower, I was able to get him into a plastic cup. Then, went outside to set him free. Seems he came in through a crack at the top of the shower faucet. This spot needs to be checked and fixed, so other little critters can't come in. Room #2.

•The check in process •Pet friendly •Fast responses to questions, information, ( from extra towel requests-extending your stays) • Complete , thorough e -mail updates from time of booking that include a welcome, and a list of all the FAQ you could want, in a quick read along with phone # (which is always answered, by a human! and message option ( which they always reply to) ikr!? • Cleanliness, top notch •Staff are all friendly and helpfull •Llast min check ins.. • Parking is easy and plentful • No restrictions on comings and going during stay, Accommodating •Beautiful rooms • Clean Pool (no chemical overkill) ,and nice poolside loungers, • Variety of rooms( wheelchair accessible- 3 bedroom farmhouse) • Fine Dining or Pizza n Beer both less than a 5 min walk. • Live (Good) music on wknds • But the thing I like the most is the Peaceful, calm, quiet atmosphere..and being left Alone when desired.

No Ice or Vending Machine. ( Due to Covid- Non contact requirements I THINK) so..yeah. Coming soon!?

As I gave 2 reviews already, from April and May, with details, I'll suffice it to say "Pretty much everything".

The lighting. Pretty Please ! Put at least 1 strong bulb in either the table lamp or the ceiling fan. I had to use a flashlight to read by at night. Meanwhile the bathroom was the brightest space in the room. (a small 'tap' light in the closet or over the coffee area wouldn't hurt either.) Sorry but you asked 😉 I would like add something here for other guests, if I may, that bring along dogs with them to the inn. I also bring my dogs along, and I'm sure you've also found very few places that allow them, or charge exorbitant fees, unlike this place. So PLEASE don't ruin it for others .Pick up after yours. My last visit I spent an equal amount of time picking up others 💩 as I did my own dogs! Let pet friendly businesses know their appreciated. Thanks, (edit as needed) 👍

•Nobody hovering. Yet very responsive, helpful when needed. •The QUIET, peaceful, restful, but with live music ,great restaurants literally across the street,and round the corner. •Pet friendly. Very. with a nice little yard in back with chairs. •Room, lovely, airy, open, comfortable, very clean,great shower. •People. From managers to staff everyone is pleasant. •Accommodating, from last minute booking to adding "one more day" (3 times)

•Leaving. Seriously. and weekend prices . Though they do track with the average these days. •No ice or Vending machine , but so close to town it wasn't a issue.

Room # 2 was very spacious and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and additional pillows were provided. Bathroom was clean, well designed and had what was needed. Even with the cold outside and with the main heater off the room was very cozy.

That I would have to pay a much, much higher rate for the second night ( Thanksgiving!) if I had to book another night. The reception and front area could be kept tidier perhaps with a screen so that the cleaning supplies etc we kept out of sight. This would create a more welcome ambience instead of the feeling one was entering through a back service entrance.

The rooms were recently remodeled and they are appointed beautifully! And the bedding was super plush and comfortable. And there is a full-size Keurig coffeemaker in the room, along with a mini fridge. You will not be disappointed!

Minor issues from some of my friends: There were no washcloths in the rooms, and the beds were too high to get into for those with back and hip problems. I had no trouble with either of these issues!

The room was clean and nostalgic. The check-in was pretty cool. The bed was very comfortable.

I had to get used to not having the door lock itself. I ended up leaving it unlocked for quite some time. Maybe a note saying to use key to lock door when leaving and when inside to lock deadbolt.
