Location was easy to access, staff was friendly, and room was average in comfort and appointment. We would stay here again if traveling in the area.

The shower area could use a remodel, and we had to request extra blankets because the bedding was pretty thin. Breakfast area was very tight quarters - not much room to navigate around tables to reach the food, and number of tables was far too low for number of rooms. Also, we found it inappropriate for FOX News to be blasting on the breakfast area TV. FOX is anything but unbiassed news, and would have preferred the TV be playing a cooking, or travel show, or something apolitical in nature (We would not have liked it if CNN were playing either.)

Customer service was GREAT!!! OUTSTANDING. I dont remember the woman's name that checked me in, I believe her name began w a "V" (I regret not asking her) and the woman at check out was GREAT as well. I was very pleased w the way I was treated.

The pillows were awful!!! I wish they were bigger and a mixture of firm but not too soft would've been perfect. I was a little disappointed w the lighting it seems brighter light bulbs would be better.

My wife and I enjoyed a really lovely overnight stop on our way from Monterey to Las Vegas. This Best Western California City Inn was obviously very convenient located for our journey. Room was huge! with a whirl pool bath in addition to a separate bath/shower toilet in an adjoining room. Bed lovely and comfortable. The room had a microwave which we used and were very grateful for. The next morning, breakfast was buffet style in a communal dining room - again very good, scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles - and coffee that hit the mark! And to top it all, staff were all very polite and helpful to us as tourists. I should also ad the hotel was very clean. Very impressed - very unlikely I'll return as I live England and probably won't visit California again (sadly) but I would easily recommend this hotel to tourists like us, a wonderful comfortable hotel - thank you to all concerned

Jasper from the front desk is exceptional! He is considerate and very knowledgeable. Best Western is very lucky to have him. All the staff were accommodating and helful! Our room was clean and nicely furnished. We were on the 3rd floor and really appreciated the two elevators. The shower was awesome with preloaded shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

There was only one chair, which was badly torn. People pulling trailers and taking up to 5-6 parking spaces. The hotel seemed to be full both Friday and Saturday nights so loosing 10 spaces caused us to go in and ask Jasper if he could get people to move their trailers, which they did.

Room & facilities were super clean. Mini fridge and other appliances all worked great. Bathroom was spacious. Staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Full breakfast buffet - pancakes & waffles, eggs, sausage, and a variety of baked goods. Pool was clean. Great location near a local coffee shop and across the street from a dog park.

Bed was a little hard and room could've been a tad bigger (queen bed, not king, and still a little precarious to navigate the room).

Very nice staff gave good service. I was on a roadtrip around California and stayed at some motels. This was definitely the most priceworthy. We paid less than other motels and got more. Cleaner rooms and more breakfast items than 320$ motels in more popular Californian destinations.

room was nice size, bed was comfortable and the staff was very nice and professional.

a few things in need of repair in the bathroom and room was dusty. I informed the desk clerk at checkout and she notified the housekeeper assigned to that room to ensure it was taken care of.

Property was clean and very well maintained. It was located in a safe, quiet area. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. The management for this property is doing a very good job. Price was good.

California City is abit out of the way, but the Best Western is the best value for money around the area.

It is probably the best hotel in the city, everything is very satisfactory, we met a lovely dog on the way to leave, it has been looking for an owner to take it in, hopefully it will find its family successfully.
