University Park Inn & Suites

No breakfast but great location very near town and within walking distance. Property very clean and well kept. Just off highway. Would definitely stay here again if needed.

Not the property's fault but there is a commuter train that goes through regularly as it's scheduled and on schedule certain trains like to toot their horn more than others. And yes it is loud enough to wake you up in the morning so don't plan on sleeping in unless you're a heavy sleeper. The inn does provide a set of ear plugs assumbably just for this occasion. Also there's a Dutch Brothers Coffee next door which is great as you can walk or drive over and get decent coffee but not so great if your room is on that side of the property as you can hear literally every order taken including the friendly greetings of certain employees.

the room is amazing. everything is so clean. the area is very safe. parking lot is well lit,. wheelchair access is good. I’ve machine is nice with fresh ice not stale tasting. big refrigerator. parking is amp,e and easy to access. Easy to find right off the Highway. Dutch Brothers is next door and there is In and Out across the street. Restaurant in a shared parking area smells wonderful (we didn’t eat there.). pool area is extremely clean and well kept. There is a train that passes by frequently but we didn’t notice it until 5 am. The room muffles most of the sound. The hotel gives you ear plugs in case you need them.

Checking in was a pain. no one was in the building. Took 20 minutes before someone showed up in their vehicle and ran inside to check us in. But he was super nice.

Great sized room. Close to downtown for food and restaurants. Across the road from convenience store, and in-out burger. Next door to coffee shop - very convenient location. Free rental bikes to borrow for getting around town Washing machine and drier

Wifi had an issue one day, but they managed to solve it pretty quickly

I think the place is excellent for the price. The beds feel fantastic, and the rooms are big. The showers are also amazing, providing plenty of towels and complimentary shower products. The room is clean, and there is a TV, fridge, and microwave, so overall good deal, and there is a Dutch bros next to it.

The TV in the room was not working during our stay. It could not be fixed since it was late, but there was no big deal. The place has no big complaints or needs. It is overall pretty good for the price.

Staff were all very, very friendly. We didn't know that everything closes early on July the 3rd and ran out of coffee, the lady at the front desk refilled the reception coffee pot for us especially so that we could warm up on an unexpectedly cold day. the gardens are beautiful and there are a few restaurant options in close proximity.

It is not within walking distance from the centre of town, but this isn't a big problem, it is still very close by car.

We booked two large rooms and it was a comfortable stay. parking right in front of room and walking distance to downtown Davis. there is also a nice pool and a small gym.

The train noise did not bother us too much, but I can see how others might be bothered. The hotel provides war plugs and there is really not too much noise at night so not a big deal for us.

Very big room with good facilities and nice large windows facing a type of back yard. Bed was very comfortable and the mattress not too soft. The kitchenette space was very helpful with the extra sink. Nice lobby area and overall clean outdoor and common spaces.

The microwave oven smelled a bit bad and the carpet was not the cleanest (we found dried leaves next to the aircon and some dirt at the entrance).

The pool area is nice and the location within walking distance to shops and restaurants is great. The room was clean and great to have a separate living room.

The reception staff were transactional rather than welcoming. They seemed frustrated with me asking for two rooms next door to each other. It's a bit annoying to walk to reception to get pool towels. What about having some in the room or near the pool?

It was an overall great stay. The room was awesome and the staff was too.

If you’re staying in the front half of the property, bring some earplugs or a white noise machine! Street racers zipped around the street in front of the hotel both nights we stayed. Police directed traffic for over an hour right outside our room. The drone of “fart-can” mufflers and chirping tires was but a minor annoyance. Now, the In n Out across the street drew them there and the major annoyance was that In n Out started parking lot cleanup at 5:45am with a gas leaf blower and it reverberated around the hotel room for an hour! The guy on the blower thought he could play a tune with the throttle too. That burger joint REALLY needs to learn to be a good neighbor! and Davis needs to ban leaf blowers!

it is close to Highway and railroad but it didn’t bother me, I don’t know if it was just my room position , but I’m a light sleeper and I didn’t notice noise. I would have liked breakfast but there’s a frig, microwave, coffeee maker, so I just brought food in
