Excellent location for visiting the wine institute and the rest of the campus. Breakfast is good for American standards. The staff is very friendly, especially front desk. The nice woman accommodated my request for a room with a view. Heater and AC work well.

The coffee is too weak. No one made up the room for the four days. I asked and was told I needed to request this service. However that is not mentioned anywhere I saw. It was OK, I kind of preferred it but somewhere it should be mentioned. Pillows are bad.

The location is great, close to the UC Davis Veterinary Hospital where our dog was being treated. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Breakfast offerings could be better. The eggs seem to be made from powdered eggs which is not appealing. Hard boiled eggs would be an easy good addition. The mixed berries were still frozen, again not great. All of the bread choices are plain white breads and bagels. Something with whole grains would be nice.

I live near Yosemite, and had a 5 hour trip to UC Davis to treat my dog. After an uncomfortable stay in a motel while his tests were evaluated, he was admitted. I drove home and came back four days later and stayed at the Hyatt. It was a worrisome time and I really appreciated everything about the Hyatt when we came back to pick him up. He's doing great now (at 15!), and I am so grateful to both UCD and Hyatt.

I don't have a single complaint. Hyatt was so comfy, and they put us on the first floor near an exit so I could easily walk my other dog. Will definitely return if the need arises.

It is close to UC Davis that is a big plus for us, the hotel is clean and nice

On Sunday 4/2/23 we went to have breakfast at 8:50 AM. There was no eggs and staff said they run out and won't make it again. the breakfast was supposed to be served until 10:00 am. I don't think it is right that your staff arbitrary decide not to make eggs without any explanation. This is not good customer service.

My family stayed at the Hyatt Davis when they first opened and will continue to stay there. The staff is wonderful. The pool was inoperable (a handsome mallard had taken up residence) and we were not made aware of that until we arrived. One of the people in our party has sensory issues depends on having a pool for their disability and the manager graciously and kindly gave us a discount for the inconvenience. I can’t tell you enough how polite and kind the staff is here.

The Hyatt is near the train tracks so if you’re a light sleeper you should ask to be moved to the other side of the hotel where the train isn’t as audible but there’s very little to dislike about this hotel. The rooms are huge there’s tons of free toiletries if you ask. Breakfast is mostly continental but still better than any hotels I don’t give you anything. The disabled rooms are on the side of the hotel where the train tracks are but honestly not everyone is sensitive to noise like the train if you’re disabled. The staff has an intrinsic kindness towards people with disabilities.

The breakfast was disappointing. Chose hotel so wouldn’t need to eat breakfast out. Eggs seemed to be powdered…. a weird texture and no flavor. The muffins were mediocre and only other breakfast bread were bagels. there was fresh fruit with yogurt but overall not up to par with other breakfast offerings at comparable hotels.

I enjoyed the breakfast and the quality of the room. I like the location as it is on the UC Davis campus. I was very happy that I was able to bring my dog with us.

I would like access to rental bikes or a "tram" that takes you into downtown Davis. It can be a bit of a walk depending on where you would like to go.

Everything was wonderful except for the loud noise above our room, both nights, but was crazy loud the second night of our stay. We called front desk but it didn’t stop. Went on for an hour plus at 11pm. Sounded like kids perhaps playing video games w headsets on as it sounded like stomping and running.

We arrived to the hotel a couple hours earlier than check in. We were tired from driving all night. We had a couple of kiddos that got car sick along the way. We were praying the hotel would let us check in early to rest and get cleaned off. Thankfully they were beyond kind and did just that. No fuss, no arguing, they just simply said yes! The room was a great size. It fit a family of six well. They provided extra pillows and blankets. The breakfast was a good variety. We had the pleaser of meeting Mama. A wonderful hotel employee with a great heart who came over and introduced herself and generously handed my kiddos after breakfast treats if they ate all their breakfast. Throughout our stay the hotel employees were exceptional. All of them were super kind. Enjoyed our stay and I am pretty sure this will be our go to hotel when we visit UC Davis again.

Nothing, everything was excellent.

Location. Front desk very friendly. Bed comfortable. Was near UC Davis Arboretum where we walked in the Redwood Grove… very peaceful. Got a room toward the backside of the hotel, where it was quiet. About 5 minute walk to the UC Davis welcome center for those who came to tour the school so no need to drive to the campus because you are already right there.

The annoying guest who was complaining about something (Not sure if related to the hotel) and bragging about his credentials. Felt bad for the manager, who was very patient and professional.
