Hyatt House Davis

Visited this location with my husband and 7 month old for a “staycation” for my husband’s birthday. We live in Sac and decided to stay in Davis so we could visit the Bay Area over the weekend. This hotel is so quaint, quiet and relaxing. All of the gentlemen working the front desk/bar were pleasant and friendly. We felt welcomed by each of them. The room was nice I liked the kitchen island/table and all the storage options in the room. I’d stay here again!!

Only minor “issue” I faced was there was no body wash in the shower and it took kind of a long time for it to be brought to us after calling the front desk.

Great breakfast, have eggs and bacon, great coffee, unlimit refill coffee in front and kitchen stuffs are friendly and helpful.

This is a pet friendly hotel, but they did not separated the designated room for pet only. I got the dog hair all of my clothing from sofa, and I am allergy to the dog's hair. 1. they should clean and sanitize all the bed and sofa if the pets stayed. Otherwise, leave those rooms to pet lovers. even, the stuff changed me to a different room, but I still a little uncomfortable for this changed room. 2. my room power curtain did not function properly, the end, they just completed open because they can't fix it.

Very clean and updated. The heating and cooling system is central and fairly quiet. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby is a bit small but they have coffee and tea available round the clock.

Breakfast was very basic. Could have included more options like yogurt or cereals. The cleaning staff opened my room door without knocking first. My room was on the ground floor next to parking lot and noise from people in the parking lot woke me up many tines during the night. The other side of the hotel is close to the highway so it's noisy as well.

liked having free car chargers, but they were a little slow. comfortable bed and nice kitchen area

Not a lot of parking and they are small spaces. Our biggest complaint was the outlets in the room. The motion sensor timers meant that our phones and devices did not charge at night because the timers turned off the switches to the power on the night stands. This could cause a lot of problems if phones don’t charge and then alarms don’t go off, etc. also, our ac was not on when we arrived and the room was very hot (it was over 90* during the days) and the ac had a hard time keeping the room cool at night.

We stay at this hotel often when we visit our daughter at Davis. I love the small, equipped kitchen and comfortable room. Staff is always friendly and breakfast is good. I like the location, right off the interstate and close (but not too close) to campus.

This is a very nice facility, but I did notice that the landscaping was overrun with weeds. I understand that there has been a lot of rain lately, but it does take away from the esthetics of the facility.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The facilities were modern and well designed. The room had a small fridge, wine glasses and coffee cups, and a cork screw. The staff were warm and inviting at both check in and check out.

The darkening shade did not function well and light came in the bottom 12-inches. Unfortunately the room faced Interstate 80, which is a busy and well lite highway. The cost was higher because I traveled there during the Davis Picnic Weekend.

It was new and clean.

I was charged $10 a day for parking. Usually in downtown location in urban city I can understand parking fee but Davis California? I stayed 4 nights and for some reason I did not get maid service the entire stay. I kept thinking it was going to be the following day but when I come back at night, nothing.

breakfast was great, internet was fast, tv was nice, bed was comfy.

smelled like toxic cleaning products in lobby and halls, they charged extra for parking each car, the window did not close correctly, so it was loud and cold during a storm, the rooms looked at a freeway, the bathroom door was a sliding door without a bathroom fan (so not very private), no proper work desk (shared kitchen counter)

it was in a quiet area but close enough to davis and school to be convenient. the room was super comfortable and had great useful items in the kitchen. We asked to have the down items removed from the room and it was ready when we got there. most hotels ignore the request and then we have to wait for them to swap or scramble.

Great to have a pool! Clean and organised We were grateful for spaces for our group to hang out i.e by the pool, in the breakfast/lounge area in the foyer Comfortable and quiet room

They couldn't keep up with breakfast demand in the morning - food, cutlery etc running out when we came. They also couldn't keep up with pool towel demand in the afternoon. Perhaps due to staff shortages like everywhere is experiencing. Some umbrellas for shade around the pool would be nice.
