Room was very well appointed and decorated, both facilities and appearance, super-clean and well-maintained, reminding me of a high-end hotel. Although room quite small, it served its purpose and had everything one could need, including refrigerator, microwave, full set of toiletries, etc. For the price a great value. And staff also really helpful and accommodating. Also less than a block to the ESTA bus stop for those traveling by bus.

Independence itself has but one sandwich shop, two gas-station markets and two taco trucks but not much else. Great for hikers passing through for a day or two but not a place you'd stay for too many nights.

We reserved a family room which had a queen and 2 twin beds. Although the furnishings are dated, the place is very clean and very tidy. We were warmly welcomed. I mentioned that I was picking up some PCT through hikers and they provided special towels for their clean up (non-white towels :)) They also provided some cookies and fruit for the hikers. Very nice people at this place.

Wifi was spotty in our room but it did work when we needed it.

The owner was very kind and welcoming. She gave us cold water and a fruit basket when we arrived. The room was clean, sheets were high quality, bed was comfortable, and the room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toiletries including comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, and shower cap. Shower was hot and had good pressure.

The air conditioner was rather noisy, and the wifi was weak and kept cutting out.

It's a small older property, but super clean and tidy and the owners are just amazing! We got a welcome basket of fruit and snacks on arrival, and there were a lot of little extras in the room (mini toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.). A/C worked great, our room was a good size, and the beds were comfortable. Super close to Kearsarge Pass TH which is what we needed. We'll definitely stay again!

Very clean, comfortable bed. We upgraded from the economy room for one with a Queen bed and a dining table and chairs as we typically bring our own food.

No complaints really. We did need to use the air conditioner to keep room cool. I have never stayed in a hotel ( some much more expensive) that does not allow the room to get too warm and stuffy before the air conditioner comes back on. So, really, no complaints. We were happy the air conditioner worked on par with very expensive hotels.

Super cute, cozy and quaint classic Motel with excellent amenities for the price/space. The host/owner is an incredibly kind, caring and hospitable woman. After a very long,arduous day of driving from Mexico, this was a perfect place to stop for the night before heading on. Very fairly priced and will stop here for sure when passing through with my pup

Convenient location, clean and cozy room.

The road noise could have been bothersome if we weren’t so dead tired after a week of backpacking in the high Sierras, but we can’t even complain about that because the room was so cozy and comfortable!

Friendly staff. Owner provided a welcome gift of fruit and cookies; such a nice surprise. Extremely CLEAN. COMFORTABLE bed. Many toiletries provided if you forgot anything. TV with many options.

Nothing to do with them. Not many food options in immediate area.

This Motel is extremely clean and well maintained. We were hiking in the Eastern Sierra and this motel is located ideally. The staff Geeta and PJ are extremely friendly and stayed on top of everything.

I was hiking, and we took a zero day. It was perfect. We actually stayed there at the end of our hike also. Cute little place, clean, and the people working were the BEST!! Highly recommend. Would stay there again
