Very clean, comfortable bed. We upgraded from the economy room for one with a Queen bed and a dining table and chairs as we typically bring our own food.

No complaints really. We did need to use the air conditioner to keep room cool. I have never stayed in a hotel ( some much more expensive) that does not allow the room to get too warm and stuffy before the air conditioner comes back on. So, really, no complaints. We were happy the air conditioner worked on par with very expensive hotels.

Super cute, cozy and quaint classic Motel with excellent amenities for the price/space. The host/owner is an incredibly kind, caring and hospitable woman. After a very long,arduous day of driving from Mexico, this was a perfect place to stop for the night before heading on. Very fairly priced and will stop here for sure when passing through with my pup

Friendly staff. Owner provided a welcome gift of fruit and cookies; such a nice surprise. Extremely CLEAN. COMFORTABLE bed. Many toiletries provided if you forgot anything. TV with many options.

Nothing to do with them. Not many food options in immediate area.

There was no breakfast. There are no restaurants in Independence. Most people stop either in Lone Pine to the south or continue on to big Pine or Bishop. I brought my own meals back to the room. The family that owns and manages the Courthouse Motel were very nice and accommodating. The room was quite clean, comfortable, and serviceable for my modest needs for the weekend. I was not expecting a resort stay. I came for the trail run in Lone Pine.

See the comment above about no place in Independence to eat except Subway. I stayed in Independence because all the motels in Lone Pine were booked up because of the John Wayne Grit trail run half marathon and 10K fundraiser for their cancer foundation.

The friendly and helpful manager was clearly interested in helping me enjoy my visit. It was quite simple, but well provisioned with all the needs for a comfortable stay of two nights. Solid value and will return.

We arrive early and were invited to our room quite quickly. A small welcome gift was given to us. All our questions about a place to eat, shop, etc. were answered.

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay. Everything was in order and whatever we needed was provided.

The manager was very friendly and helpful. Her sunny disposition made me feel good after a long day on the road.

For the price it was perfect. Of course I would have loved to have had a view of the Adriatic, in-room massage, and a chilled bucket of champagne, but what can you do?

The host is really kind and helpful. He waited for us after check in time and gave us a recommendation for a really nice diner nearby. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Good location to explore Death valley & the Alabama hills.

Rather expensive while the sign at the front advertises reasonable prices.

the hostess at the motel was amazingly sweet and took really good care of us. she provided directions to nearby sites and we felt safe and in good hands throughout. the cleanliness was especially appreciated.

Very simple, no frills motel but very clean and easy to park and get in and out of. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Not many places to eat in this town and the motel offers no options.
