The mini fridge is a great size, and I love that it has a decent sized freezer compartment. Our room was clean and some things have obviously been renovated, which was nice. We had a room on the second floor away from the street, so we didn't have the road noise. Room 45. It looks like the pool must be fun, though we didn't go in. It's definitely popular and people look like they were really enjoying it. Staff was nice. It's great that you provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Plenty of towels, which I love.

One of the mattresses was obviously older, it caved in a lot. The air conditioning system is loud. The floor creaks a lot. I feel bad for anyone who might have been staying below us.

Clean, comfortable, attractive and quiet room. Everything seemed new. Great shower, which sounds odd to emphasize but if you've been hiking all day and are dusty and a little sore there's nothing like ample hot water and good water pressure. It even had a bidet toilet, which was a kind of weird but also kind of cool. I typically travel cheap, so this was a bit plush by my miserly standards, but a nice little splurge.

Nothing really. It was a little expensive by my penurious standards, but not at all out of line for what you get. Well worth the extra money.

I always stay here when I come to Lone Pine if I can as it’s the best in town I’ve tried. There was nothing available when I first tried booking for my two night stay but I tried again a few days later and a room was free with 2 double beds. I booked it despite booking only for myself. As there were now two beds I asked my daughter and husband of they wanted to come up from LA for the weekend. They did but they have a dog. I contacted the Dow Villa and asked if ok to now have them come and OK to bring the dog? They promptly replied and said they’d move me to a pet friendly room! Brilliant!

I loved how “homey” this place felt! you can tell someone has cared for this place as the facilities are very well maintained. The bed was comfier than my own at home! In the aftermath of covid, not many hotels offer cleaning during stay (one of my pet peeves!!) But Dow Villa does. Loved the spa, it was popular among other guests too! Last but not least, this place offers the best view in North America if you ask me! I will be back for sure! Thank you Dow Villa!

There’s nothing to not like here!

We had a very clean and comfortable room. I've stayed at the Dow Villa many times and have found that to be the case every time.

On a previous occasion, we stayed in the historic part of the hotel. A crying infant could be heard through the ventilation system that kept us and many other guests up pretty late. We prefer staying in the newer "motel" part of the property, though there are some very nice rooms in the old part.

This is a great place to stay. Even though we had a bit of a flash flood, inclement weather to say the least, these guys were awesome. It's a good stopover, great taco truck a 5 minute walk up town. DOW is right in the centre of town so surrounded by restaurants. Saloon 5 minutes away. Comfortable, clean, great shower, a you could want. And real history as Jihn Wayne frequented the place. Thank you Dow Villa motel, we loved our stay. You guys are AWESOME. Much love from England.

It’s the cleanest motel I ever stayed. The room is 100% what was shown in the photo. They have extra blankets in closet to add on. During my visit, it’s very cold and I’m so impress this motel’s heating system works nicely and quietly, and restroom has a heater. The whole room (2 queen beds) is spacious enough for us to move around. I definitely would book here again for my next visit!

Best motel ever. Clean and cozy. Amazing view outside. Cleaning every day. Our room was on the second floor, and despite the cold weather it was warm inside, so we didn't need to use heater at night. The bed was supercomfortable. We were surprised to get that good place for that little money, especially during holiday season. I wish more motels in the country were like this one. Highly recommend!

No complaints at all

Everything. The room was ready before the "official" check-in time. When I opened the door, the room was cool (air conditioner set), super clean, fresh, even a real plant as part of the decoration. I was impressed to see local inspired pictures on the walls. The bed, pillows, and sheets were perfect. Extremely comfortable. Wouldn't change a thing.

The Dow Villa is an exceptionally clean and quiet accommodation. It has long been, and will remain, our go-to Lone Pine accommodation. Whether as a stop to/from Mammoth Mountain or as a destination when hiking in the Alabama Hills/Whitney Portal area, the Dow Villa is a consistently reliable, hospitable, and comfortable stop for us several times a year.
