It's a historical beauty. The observation room is the place to go for a nice drink and great views. Chelsea Chowder House looked nice, but we did not dine there. There are plenty of dining options close by if one chooses. A tour is a must, and the engine room was truly amazing.

The ship is under renovation. The room was not exactly what I booked. There were no chairs to sit in. The room was small. And there is no heat. (However, blankets are available.)Hot water took several minutes.

it was absolutely exquisite. The upkeep over the years is amazing we loved walking around the ship & seeing everything & our room was beautiful with aamazing view amenities, the bed was so comfortable & the tub was so awesome! Very clean could not ask for more❤️The staff was amazing from every aspect front desk was so helpful & accommodating friendly & knowledgeable, made our check in so easy & gave us lots of surprises with late checkout & a-room upgrade. The HR made us feel so special with a beautiful personalized note in our room . Our room attendant was friendly & brought more then we asked for, restaurant staff was awesome as well & food was delicious with perfect portions . We will definitely recommend this to anyone & can’t wait to return ❤️

There was not one thing We can think of that we didn’t like.

It is very special, full of stories and palpable history. It is also impressive in size, both when you are near it, and when you are inside. We loved spending the night on board, walking the decks at sunset, the kids liked running around, seeing the the exhibits, touching old wood and metal full of history, seeing toys from before plastic existed (!), exploring long dim corridors etc. Us grownups also enjoyed the food, stories and views from the wine bar. Overall a great place to visit and stay for a bit, instead of just taking a tour.

Our rooms were not too well maintained: the carpet was not something you’d like touching with bare feet, there were tiles in the bathroom that were coming lose when you stepped on them, the room was poorly light (and I don’t mean by natural light, having a porthole for a window was charming!), in general you got the feeling that many amenities were added 10-20 years ago, and neglected since.

I loved the nostalgia and the photos. I also liked that the staff were friendly and happy to talk about the ship and its history. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly as were all I came across. I especially loved the long chat we had with Juan ( the night security guard). Juan was the highlight of our stay with his stories of hauntings and goings on. I hope he gets paid well as he deserves it!

I didn't like that most of the ship was closed to the public. The beautiful ballrooms etc we couldn't go into. Also there were lots of rooms that were closed and windows blacked out. I also think the walls of the room I was staying in need to be cleaned. I wasn't happy being woken at 7.20am by a cleaner pounding on the door not knocking (pounding). It was a startling way to wake up only to be told they had the wrong room.

I loved that the staff all is committed to ensure the guest has the best possible experience - it feels like you are truly stepping back in time on a luxury ocean liner. The staff also appreciates the history of the Queen Mary The bar was the perfect place to sip a cocktail and watch the sunset - period music was playing and it was exactly the right ambiance.

On Tuesday night I went to sign up for the haunted cruise and I was told it was sold out for the night but it shouldn’t be a problem to sign up on Wednesday. However when I arrived at the tour desk in the morning (first thing) I was told all the haunted tours for the day were sold out.

Stunning location, and a historic feel. Staying on the Queen Mary has all the benefits of being in the downtown location with the added benefit of feeling apart from the business. The WaterBus is reasonable, but runs at odd hours so we took a short taxi ride downtown which was only about $10 each way. There is a coffee shop onboard that has historic art and a lot of exhibits to look at.

The only downside about the property is that it’s removed from most restaurants and sightseeing. Be prepared to carry food back to the hotel with you if you don’t want to eat at the onboard restaurants which are pricey. Some of the fixtures in the room like the shower are older but the staff was very helpful and accommodating with offering help! If there is an event nearby be prepared to sit in traffic or get out and walk to the hotel.

I really liked the antique look of the ship, and how they have tried to keep the rooms appropriate to the time period of the ship. As long as you understand that it is an older ship and hotel (recent renovations) it will be a good experience.

It is incredibly convenient if going on a cruise through carnival. Otherwise, there is not much around in regards to food or other entertainment.

We loved the tours both self guided & guided. Museums were beautiful and very detailed. We want to return when the repairs are completed and everything is open.

The Observation bar was closed and we really wanted to dine in there but they will be opening it soon.

I slept soooo good. The staff was very nice and helpful. Love being able to stay in a place rich with history. I would come back in a heartbeat. Sadly or maybe not, I had no paranormal experiences. Maybe next time😁

Getting lost.😂 So many hallways and staircases and elevators. But it was fun and a bit creepy when you are the only one and no one else was around.
