Spartan; but since I love granola (bars) and yogurt it was adequate. No orange juice, but some kid style fruit juice was only juice option. Coffee was ok. Bread options with peanut butter and jelly would be nice. Instant oatmeal was a no go as the ‘hot’ water was completely inadequate to cook it. They had a pancake machine that people seemed to like. Small, but clean, room; bed very comfortable. Staff was quickly responsive to cleaning room in pm as they didn’t get to it by 1:00 pm. Small stalls, but relatively safe parking with elevator access to all hotel floors was great. You won’t be able to park a large suv or pick-up truck in the small spots

The location was great. It wasn’t right at the beach, but it was really terrific. One block from Tartine Bakery.

It was $70/night too expensive.

Location is just perfect. Close enough to the ocean but far enough to avoid all the night life hassle. The parking place is very convenient, good restaurant is right next door, the rooms are spacious enough. The staff is just great, helpful, attentive and always smiling.

The breakfast could be better. Pancakes/banana/coffee/juice/tea/yoghurt and some cupcakes seems like a lot, but really isn't. The hotel could use some more seating area during breakfast. At peak times you have a choice of eating standing up or take breakfast to your room, which isn't a big problem, but could be improved.

I loved the cleanliness, it was very clean and had daily housekeeping (vs many other properties which did not). Also loved the fact that they had an on-site parking (paid, $16.50 nightly), which saved me the hassle of looking for street parking. Bathroom was great and spotless.

I would have appreciated it if they had coffee / tea in room. We had to get coffee pods / tea bags from reception or just get tea / coffee in the morning from reception. Breakfast was grab-and-go and was ok, not the best - an apple, a small muffin, a small fruit bar. Also, one morning, following rain, our ceiling sprung a leak - we had to vacate our room - but we did get a replacement room within the hour, so that was a great save.

Nice, clean and safe hotel, close to metro and buses in case you don't have a car. Good shops and restaurants quite nearby at walking distance.

The grab and go breakfast is not great, just had a fruit and coffee, and went to a nearby place for breakfast instead. But the hotel doesn't promote it as breakfast either, so at least it's honest, but as improvement suggestion: would be added value if you arrange a proper breakfast for this price. Staff a bit distant towards guests.

Room was clean and not noisy. We stayed at santa monica blvd side. Hotel is at 20th street so you can reach tons of restaurants and places by walk or car/taxi easily.

I tried all 4 vending machines for water but all of them out of order. Car parking is not free anymore. You need to add this feature to hotel page.

During my stay here, I was pleasantly surprised by the high level of comfort and convenience it offered. Despite its budget-friendly prices, the rooms were clean, cozy and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Additionally, the location was ideal, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. Overall, I was impressed with the value for money and would definitely recommend this hotel to fellow traveler's on a budget.

It was a nice hotel! On the smaller side but it was clean and staff was friendly when we stayed here. Area was pretty good close to the pier. Would stay here again. Price for parking was decent, can’t complain about that.

You need reservations for the gym and you have to go outside in order to enter the gym. Gym is also very very small.

The hotel is very convenient to Santa Monica and 3rd Street Promenade. Although it faces Santa Monica Boulevard our room was at the back and it was quiet for the 4 nights we were there. If you don't like the 'grab and go' breakfast the coffee shop opposite has excellent coffee and tasty food options. The hotel rooms are secure as you have to use your swipe card to get to your floor in the elevator. The undercover car parking is great and we appreciated that we could leave our luggage in a locked room after we checked out as we didn't want to leave it in the hire car.

It seemed strange that there were no washcloths in the bathroom, and the bar fridge was quite iced up. As the breakfast is basic the management could negotiate a 'hotel discount' at the nearby coffee shop for customers who would like to get breakfast there. Just a suggestion. Other than that everything was excellent.

This hotel is located within Santa Monica proper, not too close to the beach and pier which is fine with me. There were plenty of coffee shops and local places to walk to for food. Electric scooters and bikes are available for a quick ride to the beach. The rooms were clean, bright and homey. Parking was underground with a daily attendant, very helpful and kind man. You can re-enter throughout your stay. Parking is an additional fee though!

There were no family size rooms so our family of 6 had to stay within 2 rooms. It was nice to have some space, but the rooms are not adjoining so we had to constantly travel between the rooms via the hallway.
