I only spent one night in a female dormitory bunk bed with ensuite bathroom and everything was clean, comfortable and safe. The property is a few yards from bus stop 3, connected with LAX Airport. As an alternative, they offer a $ 30 flat rate taxi to the airport. The location is just a few minute walk from Santa Monica Pier. Fresh options for breakfast, also suitable to vegetarians/vegans, are included and a well-equipped full kitchen is available in the common area. Very attentive to waste recycling and environment and to people with reduced mobility. Free entertainment events at the weekend.

I enjoyed the vibe of the place. The breakfast was unexpected, and quite nice. The bathrooms were really clean, and the place was well taken care of. Staff were very helpful. The area around was great for walking.

The prices aren't listed with tax. This is a general problem with the USA, so the price was not as cheap as initially expected.

The location is excellent, it is located in the heart of Santa Monica and it is really well managed. You get to do activities such as movies, yoga classes, walk tours, surf classes, pub hopping and so on. It is a really good price considering the location, breakfast included (it is not like full american breakfast tho) and access to the kitchen where you can prepare anything, besides the activities mentioned.

Maybe the restrooms are not so clean all the time, but I guess it is more due to the people, some of the guests are educated and clean everything after they use it, some of them don’t. I guess some members of the staff was no so polished on attention, don’t know why

Great location, just two blocks from the sea. I really suggest getting the Premium Female dormitory. The private bathroom is really convenient and spacious. My room was spotless! The Comedy Show was the cherry on top of my stay :) Just a 2-min walk from the bus station that takes you to Venice Beach. (Bus #33)

Bring your own lock for the lockers to save $5-7 by getting one from the front desk. You will also use it for the lockers after checkout (if you need to leave your bags). Luggage storage is free only before check-in. For check out it costs $5.

Staff was awesome and helpful with any questions. Locker in the rooms was big enough for my carry on and my personal bag. The restrooms/showers were pretty clean as well. Really loved the security and needing your room key to enter after 10pm. I felt completely safe at night. Other guests were also considerate and the overall atmosphere was very friendly and chill. They have community areas as well that looked nice, however I came for a concert and didn't have proper time to enjoy them. Next time though!

The outlet for my bunk didn't work but that was completely random. They had extension cords to fix it and I had no issues.

Value for money, super clean and great staff. Breakfast was exceptional!

Crowd control can be improved. There were few loud and unpleasant travellers who didn't respect others. Also, the bedding was a tad bit uncomfortable

- clean hostel - breakfast was yummy (choice of cereal, bagel with different spreads, banana, fruit juice and coffee) - staff were super friendly and informative of the area/things to do - lots of activities ran by hostel - offered laundry facilities - toilet with separate shower in each dorm room and extra on the floor if yours was occupied - had seats, umbrellas, cooler boxes to borrow for the beach as well as volleyball etc - fantastic location

- would benefit from installing little curtains for each bed to offer more privacy particularly as quiet hours is 12-7am so lights can be distracting at nighttime with guests coming in and moving about - no parking. The parking lot across the road is $20 dollars each day so if you park over night it’s $40-50 (depending on weekday/weekend). If you are staying at the hostel for more than one night then an extra $40 per night adds up

This was my first time staying in a hostel and it was a pleasant experience. Everything was clean, beds were nice, laundromat was easy to use and the free breakfast was very nice. Location was perfect, just a short walk away from the beach and metro.

When I got in there after a long flight, it was past my check-in time but I was told by the receptionist that my bed isn't ready yet and that I have to wait in the common area with all my stuff. I sat there next to the reception area for 30-40 minutes, waiting for the guy to come tell me when it's ready but nothing happened. I went back to the desk and apparently it had been ready for a good while, he just didn't say anything (he wasn't serving any customers either). For my whole stay the same guy felt rude, he never said a word when I greeted him, maybe he just had something going on in life idk. The other workers were very polite and nice though.

Very clean, comfortable, amazing breakfast, excellent location and staff. Definitely wanna come back there when I need.
