The bed was absolutely the most comfortable lodge/hotel/motel bed I've ever had. Better than Marriot, Hilton, or any other major chain. The sheets, blankets and pillows were comfortable and homey, not super starched and scratchy like other places I've been. I like that the location was near Asian markets and restaurants. It was easy to find, and the staff were amazing. When I didn't arrive when I planned, the staffed called (which I missed) to make sure I was alright (I had prepaid, so there was no other reason to call). When I called back, they knew who I was, and left me the key in a basket so I could get straight to bed (in at 3:00am, conference beginning at 7:00am). When I did check in, the son-in-law of the owner was very friendly in a non schtick kind of way. Very affordable. I paid less for three great and comfortable nights at Chardonnay Lodge than my fellow conference goers did for one night at the conference rate at the resort our conference was held at, and I don't believe they rested any better than I did.

The room was clean, but to nitpick and not make this review seem ingenuously optimistic, the bathtub had one longish hair by the drain, and the upper edge of the tile, just at eye level of the shower was a pretty dusty.

For a 2-Star hotel (as mentioned on the websites), this is a very convenient location, with on-site free parking right outside your room. the room itself was great. good size room with bed, lounge area, a jacuzzi and attached bathroom. Overall we didnt expect much from the place, but it was a wonderful surprise. We reached pretty late, and had called ahead about the late check-in; someone was available to assist us and the process was seamless.

Toiletries could be improved, but overall no complaints.

Every staff member we encountered were very helpful, polite, genuinely nice. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. I slept better than I had in days. The décor was pleasant. There are lovely plants everywhere and they are very well taken care of.

This property is not a "lodge". Webster describes a "Lodge" as "a house set apart for a residence in a special season or by an employee on an estate." Chardonnay "Lodge" is a standard motel. I was disappointed in Bookings description of the facility. My husband and I were both surprised as we drove into the driveway of this "motel-like" facility. However, we were quite pleased when we registered because the employees at the front desk were extremely pleasant and welcoming. I think $207 for one night is not warranted. The room was comfortable and clean, but not a $200 room.

Location was good for visiting downtown or heading off to wineries. We actually walked from downtown after seeing a concert and want to bad at all. Property and general area was very quiet. Beds were comfy, staff was very nice and accommodating letting us check in slightly early.

Rooms were a bit dirty and small. Felt more like a motel than a lodge, expect just the basic amenities and nothing else. Overall the room needed some cosmetic work done but for the price it was fine. The air conditioning unit was really really loud and because it was 108F during our visit we needed the a/c constantly, but it did work well.

Clean, affordable, charmingly decorated. Magical fairy garden. All the amenities that I expect - a fridge, microwave, water bottles, ice maker, his/hers bathrobes, free parking - (plenty of it) AC/fan, coffee/tea service, iron/ironing board , hangers, soap-shampoo-lotion samples, very clean bathroom, hair dryer, TV. Bed was comfy with 4 big pillows. Staff was super helpful and friendly when I lost my card key :o. Very responsive to all questions and requests. Gave good recommendations for dinner places.

Nothing really

This was a great spot and a great find! We were so lucky to be upgraded. We called ahead and asked for a room in the middle and they saved one for us! I don’t know why there are multiple unfavorable reviews because this place is excellent!!!! Seems like people were expecting a 5 star experience when they pay way under a 5 star price, haha. I have stayed in very upscale places and I have to say, this place had charm and was cozy and clean. Couldn’t be happier. Beautiful gardens, great location, comfortable bed, very clean room and down the street is a Starbucks. Great rates and a great spot to match! The family who owns this property takes great care of it.

The only thing is traffic was a little noisy but I always bring earplugs everywhere because I am a light sleeper. And the earplugs blocked it all out :)

This is our 3rd stay here at this beautiful hotel! We absolutely adore the garden at “ our hide away” from home! The property is filled with so much love and beautiful, Amazing flowers!! Just absolutely Gogeous. Its quiet and really convenient for downtown Napa. My Fiancé and I got a chance to speak with Kay and she was just so sweet and helpful! There’s an older gentleman who checked us in and recognized I had been there before! That was super sweet to hear! My Fiancé and I can’t wait to get back soon! Thank you so much for everything!

Great value! Great location, close to the places I wanted to go to. Room was fine, The lady who helped me before, during and after was amazing. She really cared I had a good stay. Bed was fine too.

Parking lot lot got full Saturday night. But, really, not much to complain about.

Loved all of the plants, greenery and how cozy it felt

On the sheets and 1 of the robes there was a couple of small spots of blood, we attempted to call the front desk and there was no answer. At 10 am the next morning we tried to call the front desk and again there was no answer.

The vegetation was nice and the theme was cute. the property manager was very kind as well.

The location is right off of a busy road and during our stay the road was very noisy. The room was stuffy but we couldn’t open the window or we would be up all night with the sound of cars blaring by. I know these are things that we can’t control so my point is, the A/C didn’t work very well and it was very beat up so we couldn’t read the handle instructions.
