Hampton Inn & Suites Riverside/Corona East

The hotel has good security, a delicious buffet breakfast until 10am everyday, my room was fantastic - very modern and spotlessly clean with the convenience of a mini fridge and microwave. Quiet location.

The communication between reception and housekeeping needs to be improved. I gave a 24hr notice for a room clean and it wasn’t done. So my advice is to check on the date of cleaning that it’s scheduled on the system. Besides this hiccup, everything was excellent.

I left me wallet in the room and when I came to pick it up the days later (spare wallet with ATM, insurance card, etc) - I had hid it in the room), this middle-aged fair-skinned, Hispanic woman who looked like Mimmie from the free Carey show with her heavy makeup, told me “that’s weird”. she totally disregarded me! she asked me the date of my arrival, departure and room number. she then asked if I was “Melissa “. Do I look like a Melissa? She then left the front desk for about 15 minutes. I held to knock on the counter “Hello can someone help me please?” Then this tall African American man came out and asked what did I want. I asked for the receptionist and he said she was busy - he then escorted me to the room. I got t wallet and he said, “you really did leave your wallet! As I was leaving the lobby she came out and then I waived my wallet at her and said - it wasn’t weird after all!!!

Location is great - its in an upscale neighborhood and there is an obvious security service watching over the property and its parking area. Facility was clean and well-kept. Complimentary breakfast was good with assortment of hot dishes and baked options. Also like the fact that warm beverages are available all day/night in the lobby area.

Did not find the bed particulary great - a bit soft for my wife's and my liking. Room did not have a microwave which we particularly enjoy since we usually have leftovers when dining out on a trip.

The hotel and room were very clean overall. The breakfast was great, it had a nice variety of items. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Minor detail, my room was missing the soap dish on the bathroom sink, but We made it work. I was a bit disappointed with the pool area, it needed some attention through the day. At the time we used it (4:00 pm),the tables were dirty and floors could have used some tidying up- granted that it was a bit windy and trash collected there. But more bothersome still was the smell of dog feces coming from the doggie stations near the pool area, perhaps emptying the containers more often would help with this issue, and for sure will make the beautiful outdoor area more enjoyable.

Your breakfast was splendid!! All the right things and in lovely display and in nice quantities! Hatts off!!! The room had neither microwave nor refrigerator so we were a bit surprised by that. Even the cheapies now days have those and they do come in handy. The bed was a king and not at all comfortable. And even the sheets on it did not fit... they were too tiny for the mattress. Not at all to Hampton Inn standards!! I thought the hotel was concrete. Believe it was wood. The dude up above us tromped around all night like till 3AM. We thought people came to hotels to get rest and sleep! NOT this guy. We were too tired to ask to switch rooms but we sure regretted not doing that. Not much sleep til almost morning.

The room was spacious, clean, toiletries were stocked. The mini fridge and microwave would have been convenient if we had been staying more than the 1 night.

Disappointing that reservations are required to use the pool. Called the day we were checking in after reading reviews that reservations were required, and all that was left was 7-8p, and we had plans for that time slot. Guess it's a good reminder to call ahead as the world transitions back to normal.

The 2 Queen Suite with Sofa Bed was perfect for my family of 4. The room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The location was close to the event I was attended and it was close to restaurants.

The limit on people in the breakfast area, the limit on people in the pool, the lack of towels and garbage bags in the room. I do appreciate that these were all related to COVID, but they did take away for the full enjoyment and comfort of the hotel.

One gentleman was very rude. He cut me off while I was trying to explain why our reservation might not show up. Eventually he found it but was ready to charge us a whole additional fee. We had to be very insistent that he look again and sure enough, there was our booking.

Extremely clean property and rooms. Breakfast was great, something different everyday. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Everything was very clean as you would expect from the Hampton.The bed was very comfy, the TV was huge. It was nice having a coffee nook with a mirror away from the bed so I could get ready without disturbing my husband. The breakfast was a grab and go sack with several things in it. It was a nice quick way just to still provide breakfast within the COVID times. Our room had a desk, so that is a nice bonus for those looking for an area to work. We were on the first floor so I can't say anything about the view. This was our second stay at the Hampton. It doesn't have lots of extra frills, but it was all we needed for our brief stay. It was a very large room for the value and having a sofa and a desk was nice. We were able to relax and really enjoyed our stay. We willl stay again next time we are in Riverside.
