The place is very artistic and full of creativity. Great view while playing pool and guitar early morning. Full kitchen with mini half pipe for SK8ting, unbelievable, like home away from home… This place is Dope!!! Rachel and Chris are excellent hosts. I’m definitely going to stay here again. Awesome job Guyz…

Everything… From the minute I arrived, to the minute I went back to work, it was like a dream. Who ever thought of this idea was on to something great for everyone.

The room that I stayed in faced the freeway and it sounds like the cars were driving right through my bedroom. I fell asleep so I don't mind but it might not bother another person. Another thing is the bathrooms were across the hall and I believe that night I was the only person staying there and I'm traveling alone so it was quite frightening for me to have to leave my room lock it up behind me and then go to the bathroom and then have to come back out unlock my room and go back in. It was a little bit scary.

the street art was fabulous. it was in a good location. free street parking.

I feel like the room was just way too hot especially after showering. and the private toilet situation was tough. I’m 5’9” and it was way too high so they need to have like a step stool next to the toilet so you can be sat properly on it to do your business lol but besides that everything was great and the public bathroom was clean to use so that solved the issue in the room

We stayed in a private room which was very clean and the bed nice and comfortable. The room had everything we needed for a one night stay for a good price.

There were some sounds from the hallway of other doors opening and closing which could obviously not be avoided. Other guests were respectful though.

San Clemente was my hometown for many years. It’s hard to put into words how much I love coming to House of Trestles. My go to place for relaxation and comfort. I can choose so many options. Surf, read, ebikes w/racks yoga family style dinners or keep to myself and enjoy the peace I get when I’m here

Sometimes parking can be a challenge if you’re the last one in for the night. No room for complaints.

My room was really cool. I really like the one bedroom set up. It was decorated in a fun way. It had everything I needed For my short trip.

The only thing that I didn’t really like about the property was the beds (not comfortable and bunk bed style)and there wasn’t a lot of community hang out. The rooms are so nice they kind of just invite you to to stay in your bedroom versus in a traditional hostel they have like really nice hangout spots and a lot of people congregate there. I think also the washer and dryer were for the employees only but since I didn’t need it for my trip Im not sure. If I would’ve stayed longer it would’ve been nice to have a washer and dryer.

I love pulling up to the property and catching that laid back vibe. Leaving all nonsense back home in the desert. Love the artwork~never the same. Really comfy bed. And the Rainbow Room was amazing. Love the soft sheets and woven blanket. You should sell them with House of Trestles embroidered. See you again soon.

I’m from Texas and this place gave a true California experience and vibe. The location was perfect. The staff was super friendly. it is one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed. Very unique!

There was no hot water to shower and not very much privacy, but this place was still awesome!

The location was close enough to the beach and safe, it was clean and the guests and staff were like-minded and friendly. Had everything we needed and was within walking distance to the beach. The town of San Clemente where all the restaurants, trader joes and San Clemente gym is within 5mins car drive. Would stay here again for the affordability and value. The penthouse unit is worth the splurge (which is not even a splurge considering Cali prices!) and you get tons of space with a beautiful view! Would absolutely book the penthouse again!

Atmosphere, Music, Modern connections and furnishings, And the "not-a-hotel" feeling.

The main community kitchen needs a "re-think" and "remodeling". (But the kitchen is fully functioning and fully stocked with all cooking equipment and utensils)
