San Clemente Cove Resort

The staff was absolutely amazing. I don't know how they stay as cheerful and friendly and helpful as they do, but it was a bright spot. Location was great. I could walk to restaurants and you can't beat a walk across the road to the pier and to the beach. That was pretty amazing. I also liked the gated and underground parking. The kitchen and sitting room area were nice and the balcony was spacious. I liked the fullsize fridge and the gas fireplace. The prep utensils for food are scant and there was only one dishtowel I could use, but there were ample plates and glasses.

My ocean view room was barely ocean view. I had a great view of the city parking lot for the pier and the beach, but only a tiny little sliver of an ocean view. I was pretty disappointed with that. The bedroom was also very tiny. It was just me for this trip in a king bed and I would've been miserable trying to navigate that space with my spouse. The area between the bed and the wall was NARROW and there certainly wasn't room for suitcases in there. You have to manage your belongings in a closet with shelves. It wasn't convenient because you have to open a sometimes temperamental bifold door to the closet.

This place is amazing. I can’t wait to come back. The location is perfect. The cost is reasonable. The staff are exemplary. The rooms are beautiful, well maintained, large for the price and beautifully decorated.

I did not like the location of our room. My bedroom wall with the headboard was the supporting wall for the stairs as well as the trash chute. Nobody listen to the sign above the trash chute about the hours or walked up the stairs quietly at all hours of the night. My Apple Watch calculator that I had 3.7 hours of sleep.

Superb location, friendly staff, beautiful building, complete kitchen, a bunch of other amenities we never used on our short overnight stay, absolutely loved the place. Slept to sea breezes and the sound of waves. Bring your camera and wait for sunset. Everybody will be at the little park above the beach. Don't forget a wide angle lens and a telephoto.

On the hottest day of the year with a monsoon coming from the south, there was no air conditioning but still got every available sea breeze. Under normal conditions that wouldn't matter. There are a lot of trains stopping 200 feet away, but hey, we came on the train!

Location was great. Most everything was in walking distance. Staff was excellent, helpful and friendly.

Would have been nice to have an extra parking pass.

Great location! Staff treated us like old friends, and it was more like staying with friends than in a hotel. We arrived before check in and were treated to s’mores and beach towels. Later we enjoyed the hot tub and borrowing movies. We had essentially a well-stocked apartment which was large, comfortable, and quiet. Would be a great base for a multi-day stay.

Loved the location. Safely parked our car in the covered garage and didn’t need it during our stay as everything we wanted to do was within easy walking distance. Beautiful room, exceptional patio, great view, could hear the waves. Can’t wait to return again. We’ll stay longer next time.

Great location, kind staff, clean room; private parking is a plus. The room was like a 1 bedroom apartment with full kitchen and plenty of space.

WiFi in my room downstairs was a bit spotty and I couldn't get the fireplace to turn on.

I loved the well stocked kitchen, cooking our own meals and stitting on our patio for meals.

I would have preferred to be on the 2nd or 3rd floor, out of the fray of traffic. And an ocean view would have been the cherry on the ice cream!

we stay here whenever we come to San Clemente — can’t beat the location! we also like the beach toys and chairs available to guests :)

internet was not working and cell service in the unit wasn’t good either. Pretty inconvenient though in the end it was like a social media detox?

The location was everything the room was great except couldn’t get the stove to work couldn’t cook and office wasn’t answering the phone after a hour and a half we decided to check the power box shut it off and rebooted the power everything came on besides that great stay

The office doesn’t answer the phone and our stove didn’t work for about almost 2 hours decided to turn breaker box off then back on then everything starts working
