Construction crew taking up hotel parking spaces. Should not be making your paying guests 2nd to construction workers regardless of how much construction workers are paying to park on hotel property.

The breakfast was really good. Especially The gentleman making all the omelets.

When I checked in nobody told me that there was $40 a night parking. That was very disappointing to have that extra charge when I checked out and did not know I was going to have it.

The staff was ABSOLUTELY exceptional!! I was having an incredibly long and stressful day and then realized our reservation was made incorrectly by me. The staff made me feel so much better about my mistake and were so kind to me and were able to accommodate my husband and myself. I also found myself having a sudden woman issue and the front desk women were so kind to my husband as I sent him down to help relieve my issue. We also absolutely were over the moon to receive two complimentary drinks each!

There was nothing we didn't like! It was gorgeous, clean, staff were friendly, and even though they were incredibly full from an event, the space in the hotel doesn't allow anyone to feel crammed in.

The amenities! The breakfast was wonderful! It has everything you want, including an omelet station. We also enjoyed the evening reception that includes 2 free alcoholic drinks as well as snacks. We ate the restaurant twice and the food was delicious, especially the crispy chicken wings. However, the food is a little pricey. The location is another plus. We walked across the street to the shopping center and there was a ton of restaurants to choose from and there was entertainment spots. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean. The only complaint I had was the parking fee. $40 per night is a little ridiculous!

The room was very spacious. The sofa was a little hard but that is probably because of the extra bed. I like the fact that there were 2 TV's in the room. The breakfast choices were awesome. It was very nice to get fresh breakfast instead of the usual cold bagels and cereal. I didn't try the bar but the area was nice and friendly. I also liked that there were laundry facilities available. Across the street from the mall and within a decent distance from basic stores.

Did not like the nightly parking charge. Really should be included in the room rate or be lower for the guests who have rooms in the hotel.

I loved how the staff were so attentive. and the brunch was decent. Made to order omelettes were fantastic. Even though parking is $40 a day, they give you two free drinks during happy hour which can make up for it, if you enjoy that sort of thing.

The parking structure is old and there is not enough space for a lot of cars The parking ticket machine did not work well for the four days that we were there. Also, the parking structure does not have an elevator. very inconvenient for carrying luggage.

location is close to mall and many restaurants

due to the location being near many sights- there are a ton of noisy families staying here. I have kids and I never let them scream and run thru hotel hallways at all hours. I’m not talking about babies or toddlers that lack awareness- but bigger kids that are fighting with each other or over stimulated. one trip to the front desk told me we weren’t the only ones having issues with underaged noisy neighbors. I do wish the hotel would enforce some quiet hours or post something in the elevator about quiet courtesy.

I really loved that The staff was so accommodating and efficient. I loved that the hotel was so close to restaurants and other walkable locations. The parking lot was easy to get to from the hotel, and I was made aware of all the amenities that were available to me. Everybody was so accommodating a nice. Even the breakfast was an easy process. I did not have to wait a long time to get my complimentary breakfast.

I didn’t like that. The shampoo and conditioner and body wash were empty when I got there.

Loved the comfort and coziness, and the fact that the hotel in placed in La Jolla. We loved the swimming pool, including the surprise to find 2 available swim instructors for our kid in there, we loved the Happy Hour and the family friendly atmosphere loved the lobby and the facilities.

Breakfast and the food menu for dinner is very standard, very mediocre, definitely not healthy and not gourmet. This is the one point that definitely makes you remember it's nowhere near a 5 stars

I really enjoyed the look and feel of the hotel. Being welcomed by the pond and fish while heading up to my room was a really nice touch. The restaurant inside the hotel had amazing staff that made for a nice dinner experience! Little fire pits in the outside dining area created really relaxing vibes. Hotel breakfast was 10/10! The breakfast staff were quick, efficient, and made a delicious breakfast. It was packaged to go due to covid-19, but it was great! Also, the hotel is located in an area near convenience stores and restaurants. Overall a really nice experience.

One reason I chose Embassy was the indoor pool. However it is not mentioned that the pool can only be accessed right now via 1 hour reservation. I wish I had known before I booked as I was traveling with kids that love to swim(I would've booked a different hotel based on this fact). There was also confusion amongst the front desk regarding reservation time and when kids could swim and honestly it left a bad taste in my mouth. The situation could have been handled better. I say that to say this: just like any other place with employees, some are rockstars and others aren't. Also wish the rooms were just a tad bit bigger.
