Hyatt House San Diego Sorrento Mesa

It was close to La Jolla and Torrey Pines which was nice. The facilities are very clean. There was a very good breakfast buffet and I went back for seconds. It's an easy drive to Balboa Park area which was also nice.

I feel like it's a bit too expensive. It's not much less than a beach front hotel in Laguna Beach. Hotels in San Diego are pretty pricey. This wasn't cheap but it was still better than the alternatives for what I needed.

I spent two nights at Hyatt House and I was very happy with the location on this property. It was close to the fwy and many other attractions. The room was a decent size, very clean, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. The bathroom was spacious & clean, the shower and shower head were wonderful to use. Seriously, there is nothing negative I could possibly comment on during my stay at Hyatt House. The Front Desk personnel were always friendly and personable, I would definitely stay here again!

Even though I was told during my check-in where to find the ice machines, it would have been helpful if there were another type of signage in the hallway to remind me where they are located.

I can’t believe how many gluten-free breakfast items were available! We had sausage, eggs, potatoes, and fruit. I loved the coffee, too! We had a large, king suite. It was nice because our oldest son could stay on the sofa bed and have his own space. The kitchen had everything we needed, but it did not have an oven.

If we had had an oven, we could’ve made pizza for dinner one night. We were not the fans of the blankets. The extra blanket was very thin and the feather duvets were also thin. The beds were comfortable and I stayed comfortable all night.

Comfy bed, nice kitchen amenities and good breakfast. I was impressed to see rice, soup and seaweeds

Too far from UCSD. No direct route so it ended up being 10 miles away instead of 4 miles.

Very nice hotel I liked the size of the room it was very clean and spacious very nice shower we enjoyed the pool and patio area with the fire pit at night,good breakfast.

The bed pillows could’ve been of better quality and a couple more extra on the king size bed ,the sofa bed mattress was uncomfortable too thin needs to be of better quality also could’ve had a couple better pillows and blanket.

Place itself is overall nice and spacious. The living room was big, there was a kitchen with a good set of utensils and cooking tools. The bathroom was also big and furnished nicely. There was breakfast included.

In the room we stayed in, there were very clear signs of wear and some furniture and utensils that needed more cleaning. The value of the room is quite high despite being still kind of far from most places you want to travel to around the area. There isn't much around this hotel and you will definitely need another mode of transportation to do things.

Not really a complaint but they use a lil too much chlorine in the bathroom / shower which is a good thing but kinda burned my eyes when showering.

Breakfast, it was just just OK, nothing so good about it. Bagels, English muffins….some cereals and the eggs and sausages …nothing better than the “very regular” breakfast in most of the hotels in similar category.

I missed some king of “ body lotion” in the bathroom amenities. The balcony should have offered at least a couple of chairs to enjoy the fresh air and the night outdoors. We paid $3 each, for two small bottles of water !!

a perfect room! it was big and comfortable. water pressure in the shower was super good. location was good for my business needs in the area.

the hotel charge for parking. found it unusual for such a remote location in the city suburbs. the breakfast was very basic, not a lot of options.

My family and I selected this property for our weeklong Fall break holiday. We needed a kitchen, a separate bedroom (I still had some remote meetings to attend for work), and in general a unit that would accommodate our fur babies (we have two ten pound dogs). The staff paid attention to my concerns and provided us with a ground floor suite that was both near an exit and very accessible to where we'd parked our vehicle. The suite also had an enclosed balcony that extended into a small garden area. Overall, the suite we were assigned was very spacious and exceptionally clean, and was as much a pleasure to spend time in and relax as it was to explore San Diego. The location in particular appealed to me because of its location outside of the heavily visited tourists areas. Its proximity to shops (there's a great patio restaurant just next door to the hotel and numerous grocery stores just a mile down the road) proved to be quite advantageous given our weeklong stay. I'd read other reviews where breakfast was an issue for some travelers since the property couldn't offer what they usually would, but I am grateful that the hotel continued to provide continental options, and healthy items at that. I'm partial to the Mira Mesa area in general, so I feel like we had found the perfect place, the home away from home that makes all the difference when traveling.

By virtue of safety measures in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, all exterior doors leading into the building could not be opened by hotel room key (ordinarily they could). Guests have to use the main entrance for access into the building. My family and I worked around this by having one of us open the exterior door near our suite from the inside if we were returning from walking the dogs. I wouldn't necessarily say I didn't like this, but we did have to find a workaround.
