It’s a hostel. It’s on the corner of 15th and Mission one block from the Bart station. There are shared bathrooms and restrooms( they are not in the room but located on the same floor) those facilities are cleaned every day. The room was clean and bright as well as the bedding. The on-site property manager was really accommodating and very nice.

Dislikes( not many) 1. The bed wasn’t that comfy 2. The Wi-Fi was spotty and the tv would disconnect a lot. 3(this not a reflection of the property or management) between 15th and 16th on Mission during the beginning of the month there are a tone of “sidewalk vendors“ and for some ppl that me be a culture shock.

The housekeeping team was always on site during listed hours and did an awesome job keeping the place neat and tidy. I was a bit hesitant about shared restrooms but I was thoroughly impressed with how lovely the shared spaces were. The shared space in general is very nice, adding some kitchen / fridge storage, common area was a bit small but the patio is very nice!

While the kitchen has a bit of guest fridge storage, I think it would be nice to have a bit more silverware, I understand that there might be some limitations but it would be great to get a bit more use out of the kitchen. (I’m not saying making a full meal, but a toaster or something small), some cutlery, etc, would be amazing.

Shower was beautiful! Outdoor patio area was nice as well. Location was really good, just 2-3 short blocks from Valencia. The place was clean and well maintained.

Street parking is supposed to be available but good luck finding any. Nearest parking garage is about 3-4 blocks away so plan to bring a rolling suitcase that you don’t have to carry. There are a lot of homeless in the area, they are lined all down the front of Mission Street and the front of the hotel. They weren’t rude or intrusive but I did worry a little bit being female and only with my daughter. If you leave the property through the patio it’s more comfortable. Lastly, there was no AC. The weather was warm when we went so it was a little warm for us in the room even with the w window open.

The check in and building & room access process was great. The toilets and shower rooms were clean and well stocked. It was not an issue to have shared bathrooms.

The mask policy and push to not use the common rooms don't make sense and seems not very guest friendly. People have moved on, and masks should be optional and guest should be able to congregate in the break rooms if they feel like it. Also, although pretty nice, the room we stayed in really could use some shelves or night stands, two chairs instead of one, and the mattress was really warn on one side.

I didn’t eat breakfast at the hostel but had some tea which was good. The hostel itself was very quiet which I liked. People were pretty respectful about the volume, as it seemed like no one was there! The room was clean and it was a good amount of space for 2 people. The washrooms and shower was really clean, and they provide toiletries like shampoo and body wash if you need it. The location is good as it’s close to public transit stations and coffee shops nearby.

I found the bed sheets a bit dirty though as there were some stains but thankfully they have housekeeping everyday. I found the area itself unsafe, especially if you’re a woman. It would be helpful if the hostel had better signage of their place as it’s difficult to find at night especially with scaffolding right next to it.

Comfy bed, clean soft linen, shared toilets not a problem, shower room excellent, clean and roomy with plenty of green tea based toiletries. Outside courtyard was nice to have available. Plenty of tea and coffee on tap to help yourself. Drop-Key digital entry system as an app on your phone to enter the building and your room. Worked fine even though I am a technophobe. Location is excellent, just seconds away from a BART stop and buses. I used them often but also walked around a lot to explore different areas.

There was some building work going on which I didn't know about, but it wasn't a problem.

the property was very clean, and once I got the hold of the virtual key it was really convenient.

I don’t live in the US, hence I didn’t have an internet connection on my phone to set up the virtual key when I tried to enter the hotel (I had downloaded the app before, but I was travelling by plane when the key became available - and I didn’t know I could set it up in advance, I thought I had to be at the door). Maybe a clearer key set up guide to be sent a couple of days in advance, highlighting what to do if I don’t have internet, could be useful!

Overall, clean place and great location (safer than it looks at first glance, this was at least our impression)

It was hard to reach someone when things did not go according to plan (e.g., my friend's key card was not working at some point and we didn't hear back from one of the staff members when the problem persistet). Cleaning standards are good but should still be improved (cleaning the toilets and bathrooms one more time in the evening would make sense, though this is probably difficult bc staff not available)

Staff-helpful, personable and constantly raising the bar to ensure that guests have the best experience away from home. Management. Wesley is professional but his wit, commitment to service and willingness to get it right is exceptional. Rooms are clean & comfortable. Fresh coffee & tea. Convenient to Bart station. Fresh Flowers in lobby (the little touches) matter. Kindness.

Construction noise (which the hotel has little control over but appreciate the ear plugs). No breakfast.Covid enough said. Minor issue; carpet in my room was dirty.

Good value, great location and lovely helpful staff from manager to cleaners.

When you come from abroad, it is not a given that you will have phone reception and wi-fi when you land, so this smart key checkin can be a horror show after a thirteen hour journey!!! there is no point in having a sign that says ring a number if you can't get in when you have no reception!!!
