Parker's House is a precious gem in San Francisco! The staff is incredibly friendly, the couple (who I guess are owners / managers) are always present and willing to help. The common areas are really INCREDIBLE – they seem to take you back to the era when the house was originally built. The garden is so beautiful. Decoration is superb! My husband and I have been travelling a lot lately, and we can say without a doubt that that’s a level of detail even 5-star hotels sometimes do not manage to uphold. Bravo!
- Deluxe King Room is slightly noisy at night - No AC

Excellent location for access to the Castro and Mission sections of the city. Easy access to downtown on the Metro. Beautiful grounds, with blooming flowers everywhere. Good continental breakfast. Wine social in the late afternoon. Helpful, friendly staff.
Make parking reservation ahead of time. Parking in the area is very difficult. There is a TV in the room, but it's in the closet, not sure how it was supposed to be watched. Cleaning was done on a request basis only. For the price of the room I would have expected daily cleaning.

I love the setting of this inn. The grounds are so beautiful and the building feels quaint but also substantial. I was bummed I couldn't take advantage of the wine hour but it looked lovely. My room was on the lower level and had plenty of light, a comfy bed, and an ENORMOUS bathroom. One thing that really impressed me was that I left some clothes in the bathroom and they called me to send them back to me via mail. Would definitely stay here again!
Parking is a bit of a challenge but it's the city.

Beautiful old house elegantly furnished. Wonderful yard with many seating areas. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast
No elevator. Multiple steps to climb to get into the facility. ( Not a problem in itself but a challenge with heavy luggage) Staff offered help with luggage.

Friendly folks, especially one of the owners who happened to be on-site when we checked in because the manager was on vacation. Good wine and okay snacks at happy hour. Great coffee and okay but plentiful breakfast. Our room as a little small but there were plenty of places to read and lounge outside of the room, including the beautiful garden areas. I also appreciated the guidebooks that others had left behind in the library. As for location--we'd been to SF a couple of times before but never to the Castro/Mission area. We loved the location! Had a great dinner (two nights in a row) at Poesia, which is about six blocks away.
Maybe a bigger room, but otherwise we were very happy with our stay.

The location was great for us, near my daughter, but its also right on the muni line so easy to get around. The accomodation itself was great. It was good to stay in an older property with all it's original features intact and in great condiftion.
Room didnt have air con but it did have a ceiling fan which was adequate as the weather wasn't roasting hot.

What a wonderful experience. Carol and Dennis made the stay one of travels great experiences. Beautiful surroundings whilst meeting people from all over the world. Having breakfast and wine hour with strangers was effortless in the environment created . Could not recommend a Guest House any higher.

The staff at the main house were outstanding! Friendly, helpful and informative. Loved the complimentary breakfast and coffee available all day!
My room was very dusty on slats on closet doors and baseboards all the way around. The furniture was clean and free of dust.

Parker Guest House is a wonderful place to stay. Our King room was very comfortable, and we love all the shared spaces both indoors and out. The garden is magical when the sun is shining, and the living room with fireplace is perfect in cooler weather. Breakfast is excellent and cocktail hour is a nice opportunity to meet other guests. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home.

The location in the Castro area of San Francisco is wonderful, away from the bustle of down-town SF. The graceful old Victorian building with its splendid garden is a true oasis and always a delight to return to. The staff are helpful and friendly and address minor difficulties immediately. The breakfast provided suited us well.
There is a fridge in the communal kitchen, but it would be nice to have a small fridge in the rooms. Noise from the Muni Metro trains can be an issue at the front.
