Radisson Hotel Santa Maria

I lived in Santa Maria one mile from the Radisson until March of this year. Very familiar with the property. it is a great property and location. Comfortable. The entire hotel needs upgrading. It has been awhile.

All electrical outlets need upgrading. Bathroom fixtures. My main complaint is concerning the workers that stay weekly at the hotel. A policy needs to be established that they park their LARGE work trucks in the large parking lot instead on the close parking lot. One truck takes up three paring places. Not fair or convenient for the travelers. A senior discount would be nice. Even Motel 6 gives a discount for AARP members WITH their card.

This; s a beautiful hotel with a lovely lobby, restaurant, pool and Jacuzzi --all which were open! Best of all the rates were very reasonable, especially given the overpriced hotels on the west coast this summer. Most of the hotels we have stayed in this summer have been at best barely functioning, even though Covid restrictions are over. So it was a delight to stay in a hotel that actually offered what it advertised online. A nice extra is that it is next to a small airport and you can watch the planes from some of the balconies and restaurant. Since my husband is a private pilot he loved it!

We really appreciated the quality of the pool, sauna, fitness room and hot tub. These amenities were the perfect remedy after driving for 6 hours as well allowed us to feel rejuvenated for our business affairs the next day.

What I noticed was that I missed the classic binder that provided the information about the hotel, ie everything that we had to access with a QR code. It was cumbersome; as well did not provide the menu to The Vintners Restaurant. I had to do an independent web search to research what the restaurant offered. Also the QR code only led to the Brunch menu and did not provide a general cafe menu nor hours for when it was open. The WiFi was spotty and we had to relog in while in the middle of using it which was odd.

It was a nice place staff was very helpful and kind, great customer service. Having communication with the staff through text was great also. The pool and spa are awesome.

I got a king room with the balcony and it was nice but when I looked closely I noticed that underneath the couches in the living room where not swept. I moved them over and it was filthy. The small sink in the kitchen, the knob was broken so it was difficult to turn on.

The rooms were beautiful and very clean. It was quiet and we would recommend anyone to book a room here. We only stayed one night but if a longer stay we would of tried their breakfast. The clerks at the desk were very polite and friendly. They immediately informed us if we needed anything they would assist us. Great job. We also took a tour of the hotel and noticed a family having a great time at the pool. Something for anyone to look forward to if they desire. We left with a smile on our faces. Thanks for the restful time.

Big room and big bathroom. Microwave in room. Swimming pool. Even it is next to airport it is an airport for private jets and no flights during night. Big hotel and helpful service. No problems with parking place. Even if hotel needs to be refreshed, it is still Radisson quality.

Rooms with balcony on patio side are quite dark. Looks OK and seems to be cool from outside, but finally it is dark.

The room was proper 1 bedroom with king size bed. Attached bathroom. Room was extremely clean with tv. The room had a study table with lamp, mini-fridge, microwave, night lamps etc. It met all my expectations. I was able to use the swimming pool and the gym during my stay. The gym even had sauna which I used after my swimming session.

The swimming pool had a few bugs in it and there were people smoking even though they were in non-smoking rooms. The hotel location was a bit further away from most of the restaurants in the area.

A nice escape from the stormy rain we encountered during our misadventure along route 1. Rooms were nicely furnished, but as this hotel has an atrium lobby and all rooms seem to look upon the lobby, we missed a window with a view of the exterior.

well, I think it is situated near a local airport. we were not using that airport, but were traveling down route 1 towards Santa Barbara from San Francisco. We decided last minute to book prior to our fixed destination as California was experiencing unusual rain (which the State desperately needed) though it made our drive down route 1 a bit messy. So we stayed here, but it was not located in a central part of the city. I supposed for in/out business via the airport, it is very convenient. Also (probably due to covid), there was not a normal restaurant open for breakfast. Though we could get a few breakfast items from the kitchen for consummation in the hotel lobby.

The King room was clean and comfortable. The view of the airplanes was fun for my little son. By making the reservation through my Booking App, breakfast was included in the price ($109 + tax). Breakfast isn’t usually included with this room. I had to show my reservation email showing that it said “breakfast included in the price”. The included breakfast was perfect and delicious. I ordered 2eggs, bacon and hash browns and my son ordered French-toast topped with strawberries and whipped cream, orange juice included. For an additional charge ($4) we ordered a mocha and a latte’. The use a beautiful Rancilo espresso machine. woah perfect! The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The outdoor pool was warm for swimming even on a cool December day. We loved putting our feet into the hot tub just before checking out. The outdoor pool area was well maintained including a closet of towels. This was overall a nice property.

All good, but the ceilings were slightly low.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable (firm mattress & fluffy soft pillows). The location is about five minutes off the freeway but close to restaurants and markets if you choose not to eat on site. Rooms have a mini-fridge and come with two complimentary water bottles.

The plugs in the room, for charging your phone as an example, are loose. I had to put a folded magazine under my phone to hold up the charger because the outlet was that loose. The front desk staff, the only person I spoke with, was polite but not friendly. I couldn't tell if the person was bored with their job or if I interrupted their chat with their co-worker. Either way, they seemed put out. I ventured over to the restaurant to look a the menu for both dinner and breakfast. A couple of different staff members walked in front of me and another was standing around (I'm not sure what they were doing) but none of them acknowledged me. Even when passing by someone, it's common courtesy to say "hello". I know Covid has hit everyone hard, but the lack of friendliness was off-putting.
