Motel 6-Twentynine Palms, CA

Location is central. Around 20 minutes/20km drive to JT visitors center and its town. There's several food options nearby (Pizza Hut/Del Taco) and a small supermarket that will cover your essentials. Wifi is okay - dont expect the fastest connection speed but it'll get your needs covered. Heater in room is strong. Room size is very decent. Mini bar is huge, bathroom is of decent size too. Shower has hot water. Free coffee each morning !

Since its located near the highway, traffic noise can be heard from my room and may be disruptive to light sleepers. Ear plugs may help. No kettle for hot water.

This was my first time staying in a Motel 6 I've always heard bad things about Motel 6 hotels but that was not my experience. The rooms were clean, the staff was very helpful and polite. Me and my children felt comfortable and at home. The location was on a main road with a few food spots, a market and a family park all in walking distance. There's also a public bus that you can take and a few cab services, but just an FYI it is the desert so don't expect to really rely on taking an Uber or Lyft.

I wish there was free complimentary breakfast or even continental breakfast :) I also wish the televisions were a little more updated, maybe smart tvs.

The room met my expectations for a motel 6. The room was clean and cool upon arrival.

The drain to the sink was a bit gross. There was not cover to the drain and you could look down into it. There looked to be some sort mildew or fungus in there. It wasn't pleasant to look into while washing my hands or brushing my teeth. In addition, there was foul smell by the stairwell I used to access my room. The stairwell was by the staff laundry room.

I like how they don't be so mean about animals at the location and they allow them in the room and they don't say anything or give you dirty looks

I didn't like the maid walking right close to my dogs without asking if the dogs were friendly she just walked into my room thinking that everything was fine and I had till 11:30 and it was barely 11:25 and then if it was the dogs bit her then it would be on me luckily they didn't

Location is good if visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Although room was basic it was comfortable. Having a fridge is very helpful. Shower was excellent. Staff were very accommodating when I extended stay by an additional day

Not enough plug sockets and oddly none at the desk! Air conditioner was finicky but temperature was ok without.

The proximity to shops, restaurants and The Marine base. I was visiting my son .

Sticky floors, I drop my earbuds and it rolled under the bed. My earbud landed on a sticky dried liquid spill. Thiz leads me to believe that they are not cleaning up under beds where lots of dust and random particles . My room was 116 and the mattress had a dent on the left side top part of mattress.

The closeness to Joshua Tree National Park, it had a decent size refrigerator . Comfortable bed and clean room.

Not enough amenities, 2 small bars of soap and no shampoo/conditioner or lotion, so be sure to bring your own. No coffee maker or microwave. However, both were available to use in lobby area where you check in at certain times.

Always a great stay, staff is super friendly and accomodating, location is close to Joshua Tree NP entrance, close to coffee, gas station, what else do you need?

Pets are allowed, which is awesome. Less awesome was to be woken up super early by a barking dog, dog toys being dropped on the floor (assuming), dog running back and forth making thumping noises, etc. Just be prepared or ask to be moved away from rooms with pets. Love the new floors but that means noise carries more now. No refrigerator, microwave, etc. Just keep it in mind. You can get ice from an ice machine for a cooler, if you have one.

Great value for the price. Beds and sheets were clean. Tv is working and had all the channels so the kids were not bored. Pool was crowded so we did not get in. Only thing, booking said there will be breakfast but it was just coffee

No breakfast! Would have been nice if there was breakfast even if it was just bread and cereal.

We've stayed here a few different times. Location is good. Rooms are clean, and staff is friendly. Allowing pets to stay is a big plus and a deciding factor for us when choosing a place to stay.

I didn't like that we had to keep checking on our vehicle. Several "sketchy" people coming and going or passing through the back parking lot.
