This place is perfect, The mountain views are jaw dropping. the view during sun rise and sun set will bring you to tears. the property clean beautifully well kept. you are with in walking distance of main street where there is shopping and food. host was fantastic, great communication and self check in was breeze. lots of great trails in the area and did I mention the view? hands down best value for a place to stay in westcliffe
Breakfast in bed would have been nice? maybe a little weird? lol seriously Lamp Post Lodge knocked it out of the park.

The view was amazing! We loved enjoying the fireplace in the lobby (probably the highlight of our stay :). We liked the toiletries in the wash room.
The room was just a little bit oddly configured; but, no really, everything was fine.

Loved the in room food/coffee/tea stuff and the tea/coffee pot. The great room downstairs was roomy and comfortable.
One very minor thing- the weeds by the chairs where you can sit and watch the sunset were a bit overgrown. Had to move them to sit down. On the other hand the sunset was phenomenal due to the wildfire smoke in the air.

The location and the facility were great! Everything was clean and fresh and the checkin process was easy.
Lights in the room were too bright (on ceiling fan) and were fluorescent which was pretty stark.

There wasn’t a thing that would make it better. This is truly a lovely place to stay. We wished we could have stayed longer. Quaint town and quaint lodging or room and private bathroom were quite large and well stocked.
There was some confusion on our dates and the no refund policy is strictly enforced causing a change to be quite challenging.

A little too far from Main St with shopping and restaurants. Not safe to walk to town with children with very busy highway and no sidewalks. Not a place for family with children, I think.
