Property was very beautiful. We were right on the beach. Also a very nice pool.

The staff seem very concerned with nickel and diming pretty much everything. We got breakfast somewhere else and ate by the pool and they said something to us when numerous other people were also eating outside of the facility and bringing food into the pool. Also a very strict towel system. We were also charge an early check-in fee which I thought could’ve been waived but we were charged $50. The room is very good for two people but beyond two people it would be very tight. The beds are very small.

Clean, lovely staff, accommodated our request for an early check in, later check out; beach and pool were great. Loungers at the beach we’re free.

No spa! We planned to spend Sunday being pampered and instead had to kill the day walking around. Nice area but it turned rainy so there wasn’t much to do. We had a late flight so sitting in the lobby was our only alternative. Also, the loungers are free at the beach but umbrellas cost $25 - we went at 4 pm and they collect everything at 5, but the cost for the umbrella would still be the same so we did without.

The property location is directly across the street from the beach. This is not a pedestrian busy area of Fort Lauderdale the beach so its peaceful on the beach. Hotel staff were professional. I rented the corner king room with two large windows. One window had a coast view and the other window had direct oceanfront view. Waking up to that sunrise beach view was worth the extra. The room is well equipred with kerig cofffee maker, small refrigerator, iron and board, safe, blow dryer and personal care items. Plenty of towels. The hotel has a 24 hr gym with a universal workout station several tread mills, dumbells stretching area which i did use. If you are looking for a wellness option to your vacation this is perfect place. For me it was a reset from a busy work life schedule. Additionally, the hotel offers yoga instruction on the beach in the mornings. The property has a a great mid size pool with really attractive outdoor lounge areas and chairs. There is restaurant called Steelpan with room service onsite but i didn’t use this facility. The menu looked tasty and reasonbly priced.

There were charges in addition to the resort fee that i thought should have been included in the resort fee such as the beach umbrella $30 additional if you want to use it. I have celtic skin and im sun sensitive so i couldnt sit on the beach without it.

The location was great!!! I love the corner king room that we booked! The views were great. Staff was very attentive. They take the time to speak to you when you pass them in the halls. The restaurant food was decent. We had a few bites during happy hour. I love that they provide chairs for the beach.

The walls were thin. We could here the people next door and they weren’t even screaming. Could you imagine when the kid started screaming (disaster). I didn’t like that it did not have a self parking and that you can only do valet or park at some sketch parking lot in the alley at the back. The pool was too small Didn’t like that they charged for umbrellas but the chairs were free… I thought that was odd.

I liked the fact that they were able to accommodate an earlier check in at 3. The view was nice, we were on the 4th floor. The beach is right across the street. You take a towel from the pool and they provide you with a beach chair from 9 to 5. The room was spacy and comfortable. The AC was nice because it was cold. Safety! The only way to work the elevator is with your room key, otherwise you can't go up or down. I loved that feature. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles attached to the wall. The room was also clean. The employees were very nice, even the valet parking staff. They also provide you with a complimentary drink ticket that you have to get at the hotel restaurant, which we didn't use because of time.

At check in they ask you if you want a room in a higher floor for an additional $20.00 per day for a better view. The description said they had parking, however, they only have valet parking at $50.00 a night. Otherwise, you have to park offsite in the city parking or on the street, which is very, very limited. I wish they would disclose that at booking because otherwise, I would've booked a different hotel with free parking. $50.00 for parking each day adds up.

Right across the street from the beach, two chairs included in the price. The staff were welcoming and accommodating; we came at a time when they weren’t serving meals and they made us one anyway. The pool/outdoor bar area were very relaxing. There are several restaurants within a couple blocks; we had intended to go elsewhere but wound up eating/partying within mins of the hotel. I stay in a lot of hotels. The vibe at this one was friendly and relaxed.

Lack of balconies, extra cost to rent umbrella. I’d still stay there again- that’s how comfortable I felt there.

Our room had a magnificent view of the ocean, it was wonderful to wake up every morning and watch the sun rise over the ocean, truly sets the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Located right across from the ocean, with access to complimentary chairs and towels, the Sonesta is an ideal place for a trip focused on fun in the sun, and evenings spent exploring Las Olas, which is very close by.

The pool area isn’t very big and is surrounded by buildings, so you don’t get an an ocean view while sunbathing, but with the beach so close by, it’s not too big a deal.

The hotel is beautifully located, right on the beach in an area where turtles nest, between a state park and a historical mansion so the area inland of the beach is much more pristine than in other sections of the coastline. The hotel itself is modern, quiet, and clean, the pool was small but well maintained, the staff was very efficient, pleasant, and helpful, and there’s free yoga on the beach Saturday and Sunday morning!

You had to pay to rent an umbrella on the beach (the chairs were free) :(

When I tried to check in the Hotel did not have a reservation for me and after almost an hour waiting I was given a room at a higher rate. It was totally embarrassing and disappointed. I didn’t enjoy my stay.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The view from the room was beautiful. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful. The bartenders, Andy, Raheem and Patrick were so fun!

If I had to complain about anything, it would be the breakfast brunch. The food was tasty enough but only lukewarm. One more thing, I wish we had more pool time. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate.
