The location and vibes are 100%. Really nice pool if the close beach feels too far. Very cool retro feel with no pretentiousness. It was an easy and accommodating stay.

Our ground floor suite was spacious, but with very few small windows that were all frosted…so you couldn’t see outside at all, which was a little odd. The bedding felt a little dated and uncomfortable compared to more modern hotels. it was tidy but could use a deep clean.

We had a great stay. Plenty of space in our hotel room and had a nice size fridge,stove, microwave etc.

The only problem was that there was a lot of noise the first night. The jalousie windows did not block any noise so we were woken up a few times during the night.

Location is spot on. Rooms are more than adequate. Office staff are friendly and easy to work with/talk too. Hotel grounds are beautiful. Upstairs deck is awesome. Value for money is the best in Key West to my knowledge.

Staff dropped the ball. they offered to service your room but did not really do it. We were asked to vacate our rooms while they cleaned but when we got back discovered they had not been cleaned. The towels were swapped out. That is about it. They did pull up the bed cover a bit but left it in a very messy way.

I got the little apartment-like #30 reserved, which was fully furnished with a great fridge, stove, accessories, a d a small 4 chair dining table. The room had a nice 7 bed, sufficient pillows, and extra covers plus 2 spacious closets . There was a sofa bed in the living room and a tv. I had my own little patio with an outside table and umbrella where I had my breakfast in the mornings. LOVED THE POOL and the patio area on top of the roof of the other. Uilding where most rooms are.

I wish the pool was opened til later, but I understand it's only for office hours (8am-8pm) Perhaps if the office was on the other side in the main building where most of other rooms are.

AC struggled. Bed was a bit hard. No hooks for hanging towels and such.

I have stayed at this hotel for several years and will continue to do so. The location is great, the staff is very helpful and the amenities are just fine for me, including the available rental bikes!

I was in a two bedroom suite this time and the room was "just clean" but seemed like some corners had been cut (floor dirty, sandy furniture). It wasn't something to worry about but I mention so that the management is aware. Also, the AC unit is in one bedroom which makes the second bedroom a bit stuffy and hot.

Motel is walking distance to Duval Street and the southern most point, maybe 4 blocks. Retro motel all the way has a pool. Free parking, and you can rent bikes on the location to get around if you want to explore faster. The location is also walking distance from a beach and biking distance to the Ft Zachary state park and beach. Quiet location since it's located in a residential area. Again, if you want a retro motel and a classic vibe , this is the place. Good ol' motel with great location at a great price. No resort fees and parking fees. George at the front office is as nice as they come. What I loved was that the motel was exactly what I saw online no hidden issues or fees.

Beds are firm, and I like a softer bed.

El Patio is a really cosy motel in a great location. It's at the quieter end of the island which is nice to get away from the madness, but walkable to lots of great bars and restaurants - and the ability to hire bikes for $16 was brilliant. The pool area was really lovely and a great place to cool off, and the staff were all super helpful and nice. We didn't use the sun deck because it was way too hot, but it looked lovely! The room was comfy and well put together, with slightly dated but lovely decor.

The room was very bright at night because there were lights on the outside of building shining right into the window. The floor didn't seem to have been swept particularly well so was a bit dirty when we checked in. The motel is expensive for what you get, but then that's what you pay for Key West, and this was one of the cheaper options!
