The hotel has this beautiful signature scent when you walk in. And the indoor and outdoor architecture is iconic. The location is excellent, close to cafes and restaurants and you can walk to the marina. The service and staff were great. Check in was smooth. Room was huge and beautiful and the bathroom too. The bed was a little soft for my taste but I slept well. Nice walk-in shower. We also spent some time at the rooftop pool/bar which was great.

The courtyard can get a bit noisy in the morning and afternoon if there's an event being held, and there was some construction outside so we couldn't enjoy the huge beautiful balcony, but those are minor, minor things. I'm just being picky.

The hotel was perfect for our stay in Coconut Grove! It was perfectly clean, the staff is very friendy and it has an awesome vintage eclectic vive. The restaurant Mayfair Grill was delicious and SipSip bar has awesome cocktails. The location is great, walking distance to multiple restaurants

Everything was perfect

Loved that there was valet, despite the extra cost, it made it convenient to pick up and drop off my car in a safe location versus street parking. Staff were pleasant especially Daniel in the downstairs restaurant was delightful. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and I thoroughly enjoyed the balcony. Try Chugs down the street for really good food or the farmers market close by!

I want to say my only real issues were the elevators, they tended to get rather humid and hot (beware that the entire center of the hotel is open aired) but it's Florida cant be too upset about that. My other hang up was if you're driving in and using the gps it will take you behind the hotel and not to the front so I would suggest paying attention to the street signs.

A world traveler with over a hundred 4-5 star Hotel Stays under my belt, the Mayfair was a surprisingly exceptional experience. I booked the hotel for my wedding night, and the hotel made efforts to make it a wonderful and memorable stay. All of the details in the room were perfect. everything was well maintained clean, and put in order. Furthermore the ambiance and decor of the hotel were distinct and tasteful throughout. All in all a great stay.

I was having a late breakfast and was going down right around checkout time and my cards had automatically expired and stranded me on the floor. I had to call the front desk to ask for help. Although I assume a strong safety feature, I would not expire room cards, unless lost, until 8-12 hrs after checkout. It would be reasonable to assume that some guest may checkout and lounge around on the roof cafe or brunch areas after checkout while waiting for a later flight, and this detail would make them feel put out, and mistreated. An experience that subtracts from the hotels brand and experience.

Everything was perfect . loved the fast Checkin and checkout . the room was spacious with its own outdoor space . the breakfast was yummy (avocado toast) and waitstaff very pleasant. Michael (food/Bev) mgr very knowledgeable about wine and made us feel quite welcome at the bar.

nothing . it would be fabulous to offer free (self service) coffee /tea for 2 hours in the am in restaurant bar. (there is a basic coffee machine in room but nothing like strong drip imo). more hotels are doing this and I think it goes along way for the experience - especially if travelling from abroad and you are up very early .

Almost everything was perfect. The hotel is extremely beautiful, very unique and special. It really makes you feel like you're on vacation. There are lots of beautiful plants everywhere, the rooms are very clean and in great condition, the staff is very friendly, and the location is great, right across the street from cocowalk and many restaurants and stores.

There was construction noise during weekdays up until 7:30pm. The rooms are very good at reducing the noise but it got annoying after a while. I found the valet parking to be a bit expensive at $42 per night, especially for longer stays.

The pool bar was a hit. Staff were incredibly nice. The whole vibe is chill and relaxed and fun!

Dog poop at the elevator door at 7am was upsetting. Really? I checked into the Mayfair having traveled to Miami from another hotel on a biz trip. That hotel had its own dog issues: 2 rooms near my room had dogs. It was a howl fest. That's two unpleasant doggie experiences within 10 days. The whole 'bring your dog along' needs to be rethought. Idea: Hotels need to create pet floors and tell guests checking in that there are pets in residence. Give the guests the option of being on another floor. I love dogs, don't get me wrong. We had a dog for 17 years. But he never pooped in a hotel. Or barked all night upsetting other guests. BECAUSE HE STAYED HOME!

The art deco was beautiful. The pool deck and bar were very cool.

A world of majesty, by a gifted Florida architect, and fully renovated! Driving into the secluded entry area, & being greeted so kindly (no unnecessary, hurry up & move your car pseudo-drama), and the yesteryear, yet totally modern check-in area, was only made better, by the complimentary champagne! Experiencing the open sky, and hanging garden central area, was nothing short of pure enchantment. From the fabulous rooms, to the delicious meals at the Mayfair Grille, and beyond to the rooftop bar & pool, we were felt so comfortable, and felt miles away, from the everyday & ordinary. The hotel is fanciful and inspirational, and will definitely return again!!

Zero complaints

I liked the location and room size. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, although some did not speak English so communicating was difficult with them.

The rooms were a lovely size, but quite dark and my clothes felt damp when I got home. The mattress had plastic on it so we woke up every night feeling very hot and sweating. Sadly, apart from the first couple of days, the pool bar had no staff to serve drinks or food and the pool was very cold - I couldn't get in. There is no Reception so it's a bit difficult to know what to do when you first arrive.
