I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. I looked through many reviews and am happy that I chose the Marlin. The location is perfect and is one block from the beach near all of the festivities of Ocean Drive. There were many restaurants to choose from and small supermarkets to buy snacks and things for my kids. The hotel looks new and is well decorated. I loved the decor. The room was clean, modern and spacious (we had a deluxe suite). Even though the second bed was a pull out sofa, it was set up for us when we arrived and it was actually very comfortable for my kids. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The umbrella and chairs we received for the beach were helpful. we also had a beach bag and towels from the hotel that are in the room (and extra beach towels upon request). I had read in other reviews where people complained about the free breakfast. It is a continental breakfast with bagels, bread (that you can toast), fruit, muffins, pastries, yogurt...there are also boiled eggs (request how you want them). There was juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate packets, instant oatmeal and cereal. I thought the breakfast was sufficient and was satisfying. If you want a full hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, omelette , bacon, sausage, etc. then you need to go out somewhere. I highly recommend this hotel and will love to stay there again.

Nothing.

It's ok hotel. Good location Friendly people.

I didnt understand what is the resort fee they charge extra. Other hotels provide chairs on the beach.but what does Marlin provide? They susbt explain at check in. It felt just extra fee for nothing. Bed was not comfortable at all. Breakfast is poor.

amazing location and beautiful building

I paid for a room on the 3rd floor. the best for view and least noise. I got a room on the second floor facing an alley.

What an awesome small hotel! I booked for 6 nights, we arrived - and everything exceeded my expectations. We checked in late at night (after 12 am) - and there was someone available to check us in. They also upgraded us free of charge, and we didn't even ask for it. We got a premier corner suite - it's a large room with a king bed overlooking the ocean (2nd street from the beach). Huge window with RC-controlled shades, Nespresso coffee machine, small water bottles, big bathroom. Everything is clean and pretty new. Housekeeping was great. Comfortable bed. Great water pressure in the shower. We heard no noise from neighbors. There is a beach bag with 2 beach towels in the closet. Also, you can ask for beach chairs at the reception. The service was excellent - very attentive and friendly staff, can't say enough good things about them. Great hotel location - 2 minutes from the beach, a minute from a good breakfast place Cafe Americano. There's also breakfast served at the hotel for $12 if you want something quick like bagels, coffee, fruit. Staff waived our resort fees and one breakfast over a TV issue we had.

Collins Avenue is noisy. Bring earplugs. We had issues with our TV - it kept turning on by itself which bothered us at night. We ended up putting a blanket over it. We had a premier corner suite. There is a table in the room, but no chairs. There's a corner couch, but it's facing the room, not the awesome great corner window with the ocean view. I wish there was a small side table near the couch to place a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. There are two nightstands by the bed. One has a power outlet and an alarm clock with a phone charger. The other one has none which is very inconvenient since there's nowhere to plug your device in. I wish the hotel had a dryer - we had nowhere to hang our wetsuits after diving, or even swim trunks or beach towels.

We had an amazing time in Miami mostly because of our wonderful stay at the Marlin Hotel. First of all, this location is excellent. It is a five minute walk from the beach and is surrounded by restaurants, bars and many shops. Surprisingly it is very quiet and I would always recommend this area versus Ocean Drive hotels where we always heard loud music at night. It is a very close to Ocean Drive which has Art Deco district with retro hotels and a beautiful walk alongside the beach. On arrival Nana greeted us. She was very friendly and efficient. Throughout our 5 day stay she was our " go to" person for advice on where to eat and what to do! She went out of her way to give us details and took care of us if we requested anything for our room! The continental breakfast was good and sufficient for our needs and located in a beautifully retro decorated restaurant. The Italian restaurant was closed during our Memorial Day stay so we did not experience the excellent (according to many reviews) food there. Our room was large with a king sized bed and sofa. It was beautifully decorated.The closet was huge and the bathroom was beautiful and very clean. The Nespresso machine was so nice to have. The bed was very comfortable with cushy pillows and clean sheets. The towels were very fluffy and excellent quality. They even provided a hair straightener in addition to the usual hairdryer which is a nice thought for the ladies. There was also a make up mirror attached to the wall in the bathroom which I loved!! The shower was large and very nice. The hotel provided us with a lovely bag with two beach towels and gave us two comfortable beach chairs and an umbrella each day if we wanted to go to the beach. The housekeeping service at this hotel was phenomenal. They did a great job making our beds each day and topping up supplies. I have to say the housekeeping was probably one of the best we have experienced in our travels.

Restaurant for dinner was closed for Memorial Day Weekend and week!

Good value for money given the poor selection of budget friendly hotels at South Beach. Nice, spacious room, well equipped.

Our receptionist was really helpful on our first and last day, but not all of the staff are fully engaged. Sadly, this is more widespread and present in most of the hotels we stayed.

The hotels location is perfect. You are 2 blocks from the beach. The hotel provides you an umbrella and chairs for the beach and most hotels dont, so this was for us what exceeded our expectations. The hotel has breakfest included and its sufficient and healthy. We choose this hotel because it was not expensive compared to others and its location. We were amazed with the price /quality relationship. Not only because of the beach amenities but also because of the People working there. They are extremelly fantastic, helpful and the anticipate ones needs even before asking for something. The attention of Nana, Cande, and all the staff I haven't asked there names, but are extremely warm people. Thank you for making our stay perfect. I would defenetly go back to the same hotel every time.

The climate in the room is very good! The beach is fantastic. I really liked that we could get all the beach amenities such as chairs, towels and umbrellas. This hotel serves delicious breakfasts - I really like it because I don't have to think about where and what food I'm going to eat in the morning. I also like the nearby La Parrilla Liberty restaurant. There is delicious food and democratic prices. The most beautiful place for evening walking out and photos for me The Hills At South Pointe Park.

The minibar in the room was interfering with my sleep by making constant annoying "pee-pee-pee-pee" type noises.

friendly and helpful staff; nicely appointed lobby; very clean, smells wonderful, nice size rooms; comfortable bedding; plenty of storage; beautiful and spacious bathroom with huge rainfall shower stall; huge king size bed with extra queen size sofa bed; complimentary water bottles daily; nespresso machine in room: we’ll decorated with 2 tvs; plenty of space for a family of 3-5; lots of lighting in rooms; Marcel, Nana, and Paula were amazing and so helpful with every need or questions we had! We will definitely return!

There wasn’t anything I disliked but a few suggestions for improvement: double sinks in the bathroom would make it more efficient for families to get ready for the day; maybe a shower curtain that can get pulled over as an option for more privacy; better quality umbrellas for those rainy and windy days; more options for breakfast like fresh baked croissants or baguettes and a waffle maker maybe;
