Holiday Inn Express St. Petersburg North / I-275, an IHG Hotel

Everything about the hotel was very good. It was nice to have two restaurants nearby, although the Cracker Barrell was so crowded that we did not stay but want to Waffle House. It was great to return to St Pete after living there for many years. We visited the downtown to see the Christmas Lights and we were delighted.

Only two negatives. We have followed the debate in town about the "new pier". What ever was finally done, we felt it was a disappointment. Secondly, the "blanket" on the bed was/is not to my liking. It is too heavy, and nothing can be done about it. I prefer a combination of blankets and sheets so I can use whatever combination is suitable. The hotel said it did not have any separate blankets or sheets to give me. NO BIG DEAL, BUT IT WAS AN ANNOYANCE.

Very clean, room was comfortable and a lot of space to move around. Very nice area with microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, cabinets, and prep space. It came in handy making sandwiches and snacks for the kids. Beds were comfy. Decent breakfast with hot foods along with cereals, muffins, fruit, and yogurts. Staff was great at keeping tables clean and food stocked. Housekeeping was prompt at responding when we needed extra towels and bed linens.

Walls were thin. I could hear conversations next door. Would have been nice to have a second elevator. There were often lines for elevator use.

Breakfast was limited for those who cant consume gluten but the eggs & bacon were gluten free meaning the kitchen has good procedures. Thats not always true. My son enjoyed the many breakfast choices. Attendant was great.

Noise between floors was noticeable.

The hotel is close to the interstate so it was easy to get to everything! Hotel is situated in a safe neighborhood & a Cracker Barrel restaurant is right next door.

A nice renovated hotel, friendly staff. Although the location is not central (a kind of industry zone), getting to St.Pete center seems to be straightforward and takes no more than 10 minutes, Rooms are spacious and everything worked well.

Breakfast selection choice is very limited. One morning there was absolutely no milk for some reason. Apple and orange juices were not drinkable, yet coffee was ok same as scrambled eggs and fresh bananas.

Exceptionally clean, great breakfast, great air conditioner, right next to Cracker Barrel, shower had glass doors.

Checkin took a long time due to only 1 staff member, bed was way too hard, shower floor was very slippery and I fell, and the water pressure was terrible in the shower.

Excellent hotel with good facilities, efficient reception staff, very clean and good value for money by comparison with other hotels in the area.

Would have preferred it to have been a little more centrally located - but that would have almost certainly increased the price. So no real complaints at all…

The staff. The housekeepers that cleaned the room was very very nice and efficient.

The location was not close to anything except Cracker Barrel. Family members that stayed there at the same time as us complained to front desk of roaches in their room.

No complaints. Easy, comfortable stay. Close to the business I needed to take care of. Nice restaurants, near to go. Easy to get to. Staff was great. Building, room were clean and comfortable. Breakfast had wide variety of items to choose from. Pick it up, eat, clean, gone. Accommodations were great. Just what we needed for our stay. We were very satisfied.

Maybe a little more light in the back parking lot. Not a deal breaker. Plenty of parking for everyone.

The breakfast was wonderful; plenty of choices. The room was very comfortable and well lit. The bathroom was also comfortable with a large counter to put personal items.

A car alarm went off at 3:00am and there was quite a bit of noise from people coming in around that time. I don't know if they were drunk and being loud. I understand that is difficult to control.
