Clarion Pointe Tallahassee-State Capitol

This place is very quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very polite and kind. The staff members are willing to help. Breakfast is good. (If you can change the menu every other day, it would be great for the people staying for more than two days or regularly visiting). The bus stop is near the hotel. A grocery shop and many restaurants are within walking distance. If you accept cash (not only accepting credit cards) and have a stable Wi-Fi connection (Wi-Fi drops regularly), it will be an advantage for the visitors. Soundproofing the doors is better because some people work at night, sleep late, watch tv, or have calls. (I don't like to put this as a disadvantage.)

I love this place, the people were friendly, the decor was over the top, it made me feel very happy and comfy at the same time. The breakfast was very good, especially with these crazy Covid times when most motels have gone the way of grab and go bags. If your looking for a place to stay in Tallahassee this is it..

Visited for a mini vacation for 2 days at the end of Feb 2023 as we planned to visit the museums and sights in Tallahassee. We liked this hotel as it was definitely different (we thought in a good way) as it is decorated with a modern, artsy flare, with inspirational messages on the walls and some murals. The beds and pillows were comfortable, not too hard. The shower had a large rainshower head with really good water pressure, and they also supply a non-skid tub mat (a nice addition). The room has a microwave and small refrigerator/freezer, but no coffee maker. The window had double pull down blinds, so no worry about gapping curtains. Large TV has a dish network with a guide feature, so easy to find something to watch without having to flip through all the channels, however, there are no movie channels (as in HBO, Showtime, etc.) But does have a Netflix option if you want to log in. The hot breakfast had a good variety of choices, with make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, danishes, bagels, juices, coffee, etc. The hotel is conveniently located just off I-10, but we didn't hear any traffic noise. There are several restaurants and a Walmart within a mile of the hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area.

We spent a night at Clarion Pointe when passing by Tallahassee during our holiday travel. We liked the place so much and decided to spend another night 9 days later on the new year's eve when we were heading back home. The hotel is small, updated and well maintained with nicely decorated rooms. The rooms were very clean, beds very comfortable, breakfasts better than expected, and staff were very friendly. The hotel is about 1 mile south of I-10 and only a few miles from the state capitol and FSU, super convenient. We will definitely go back there next time heading that direction.

Best hotel in Tallahassee for the money, bar none.

The decoration and theme of the hotel was very good. It’s a modern vintage hotel, we loved that. Everything is also well taken care of and clean. The breakfast, even though we didn’t enjoy it, looked complete.

The air conditioning did not let us sleep, since it turned off and on automatically from time to time and the sound every time it started was loud, even though we left it fixed and not automatic it still turned on and off, there were moments that it took time to start again and we were hot. And the bed isn’t firm enough and it was sinking a little.

This is the 2nd time this week that we’ve stayed in this hotel, with a 3 day camping music festival between the two stays. We loved all of the creative artwork and decor. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was great to work with, and was very accommodating.

Unfortunately, due to other guests being very inconsiderate, we hardly got any rest. We had to complain multiple times about the guests below us blaring loud bass music. We were informed that there had been other complaints, as well, and they were trying to get to the bottom of it. Between the hours of 2:30am-6:45am, we got absolutely no sleep and it was very frustrating. We, then, overslept, which caused us to miss the complimentary breakfast that is provided.

The staff was friendly and room was clean. After a 10 hour drive from New Orleans and it being 1am, all we wanted to do was having somewhere nice to sleep. You can tell they are recently renovated and they are trying to make the older things more updated. It was a comfy pit stop for our trip home. I would stay again.

Our only complaint was the smell of weed on our floor. Once in our room it wasn’t as bad.
