La Quinta by Wyndham Tampa Central

I was not expecting much from La Quinta experience. In this case the hotel management has been doing a great job, thus the hotel has a great vibe. I can tell they care about this business. Room was renovated, clean, new plumbing, nice breakfast, helpful and welcoming reception staff.

Everything was good and clean except the comforter

The comforter wasn't clean

Clean, comfortable, well appointed room and bathroom, although bathroom needs towel racks/hooks and tub/shower lever and vanity sink lever installed backwards (Hot to right, cold to left). Good variety of breakfast food/drinks. Convenient location as we were in Tampa to attend a NY Yankee Spring Training ballgame and George Steinbrenner Field was a couple miles away

The employees were very nice and very helpful. Our room was very nice. I really enjoyed our stay.

Wifi: This hotel does not have secure wifi. Having a wifi with no password leaves guest free and open access to cyber criminals. If you are on a business trip and using wifi is must, I wouldn't recommend this hotel due to the lack of wifi security. Unless you bring your own router. Breakfast: Also, maybe having other meat options instead of sauges and possibly adding grits to the breakfast would be good. Yogurt, please offer "light" and "original".

my favorite part about the property is that it’s pet friendly! this is very important as pets are apart of our family. & the pet fee is excellent, please don’t change the pricing! I will be staying at this location every time I’m in Tampa which is often. I am glad I found it!

The only thing is the walls are very thin. you’re able to hear your neighbors very clearly, but it really wasn’t a big deal. I just want to mention it as an honest review.

Breakfast wasn’t on very late, 9am is bit early to finish. Nice room although needed a hoover. Big comfy bed, good size, good shower, but noisy guests who shouted back and forth to their friends in other rooms. Asked them to keep noise down which they did. $100 hold for room bit expensive. Overall good hotel for the price.

Later breakfast to maybe 10am. Everything else was good

The location was great, a short drive from the interstate and close to Side Splitters comedy club, where we were seeing a show, and near several nice restaurants and a local brewery. The hotel was very clean and neat, check-in was quick and easy, the staff was friendly, and our standard king room was very clean and nicely decorated, roomy and had a very comfortable bed. We didn't get to use the pool/hot tub but wished we could've because it looked very nice. We'd definitely stay here again.

One very minor inconvenience was that the side entrances to the hotel, which were supposed to be accessible with your room key, were each propped open with a wet floor sign. One had a broken door handle and the other had a gate outside that was locked with a padlock, rendering it useless for getting to our car. It wasn't a big deal, though, because we could just use the main entrance.

I had to ask for a few additional requests on our arrival date. the man worked on it for a few minutes and was able to accommodate us perfectly. I asked if we can be by near a specific room and if it could be first floor (knee surgery). He did both for me and happy to do it. I didn’t feel they rushed me off. We were in 102 and our cousin was in 108. it was perfect. about 20ft room to room.

the A/C and Heater unit had very poor heating. the room was nice but those units need to be repaired or replaced. there was an exit near our room. when the door shut it slammed hard same going outside. they need either new closers or new slow shut hinges. I’m pretty sure the scrambled eggs started as powder eggs and I’m pretty sure the sausage was microwaved.

The breakfast was ok. The area is not bad just wouldn’t go out walking around at night. Went walking during the day and found a really great burger spot called Culture burger about 15-20min walk from hotel.

it was close to the stadium and the staff was very friendly

I would’ve liked for things to look more new in the sense that for example the tub was peeling were you stepped and even though it clean it makes it seem not so
