Holiday Inn Express & Suites Trinity, an IHG Hotel

Everything was outstanding. Holiday Inn lived up to me and my families expectations again. The food was delicious, the entire hotel was very clean, to include our room, and the pool area was clean and refreshing, but most importantly, Patrick at the front desk was awesome. Patrick was very professional, polite, friendly and very helpful. The Holiday Day Inn and Suites in Trinity Florida gets five stars from me and my family.

A little pricey, but it’s to be expected, as nearly all proprietor’s have drastically increased their price’s since their reopening post Covid-19. One other issue that happened during this stay was the fact the fire alarm went off at 4:45 in the morning, due to an electrical problem, however I don’t blame the hotel, as an electrical problem could happen to anyone, but what I do find very disturbing, is the fact the Pasco County Fire Department took nearly two hours to respond to what could have potentially been a fire.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was nice and the staff was good.

The facility looked not very well taken care of. I swam in the pool twice. The hot tub was so full of dead insects and frogs, I had to get out. The pool also was full of dead insects. The room I was in seemed like it hadn't been throughly cleaned. Small things, like The shower door didn't stay closed, there was mold on the ceiling, the hook had been broken off the wall and not replaced. Pics attached.

The entire hotel was very clean, well maintained. The rooms were great. There were no issues for our stay (3 days). Everyone was so friendly, even the other guests. The pool was great and maintained properly and the hot tub was nice. We had a room with view of the lake behind and it was nice to see all the wildlife. This will be our forever “Hometel” as my kids called it as we visit family in the area. Location was perfect. It rained a good bit the weekend we stayed but the hotel was comfy enough that we relaxed and hung around. They also offer movie nights in the Lobby and I thought that was a great added touch! We travel with kids 3 & 7.

Everything was great except the AC condition unit was extremely loud when sleeping. We turned ours off. If you're a light sleeper the AC is noisy. But turning it off was a solution for us and the room was still cool enough.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. It is close to several places to eat and shop.

Checked out one day early. The hotel front desk was completely happy to refund the last day but said they couldn't because we booked through booking.com. I contacted booking.com and they told me that the hotel would not allow them to refund the last day. I also asked if they could transfer the booking to another location but they wouldn't do that either. Unfortunately we ended up having to book another hotel at our next destination & still had to pay for this location.

Staff members from Front Desk, Breakfast Lady, and Housekeeping are all exceptional. Extremely nice, thoughtful people. Breakfast lady has been there for 3 years + and we remembered her from our last visit. She is such a nice person very personable, takes good care of the area to ensure it's clean. Holiday Inn is lucky to have her as an employee.

Pillows too soft and even with using the extras in the closet, just couldn't get comfortable. My only complaint which is small considering all other aspects.

The staff was off the charts nice. I accidentally threw out my laundry and a member of the cleaning staff helped me find it on December 30th - she deserves a promotion and a bonus!!!

Your covid protocols lowered the quality of my stay from a 10 to a 9. Specifically, instead of having to make a special request to have my room cleaned more than once every 5 days, it would be better if you just cleaned it every other day at an agreed upon time at check-in. This would reduce covid exposure while enduring the room was cleaned regularly. I ended up not having it cleaned at all bc of that policy. Also, I paid for a suite but it was facing the roof near the parking lot instead of the beautiful meadow on the other side. Still had a wonderful time and everyone was delightful!!!!

Great hotel with wonderful amenities. Breakfast in morning was outstanding with different items each day. Staff was warm with smiles from everyone you met. Checkin was easy as was checkout. Excellent value for my stay and location to visit family was right on. Highly recommend this hotel.

the chairs by the pool area are worn and tearing. Air conditioning unit seemed a little worn out. To be expected I assume.
