We loved the ambiance of the historical hotel. We had a wonderful meal at Rosemary & Thyme with an excellent waiter. Highly recommended!
The parking was awful- only street parking on the blocks around the hotel. No dedicated lot. I had my 81 year old handicapped mother, and we couldn't access handicapped parking. We ended up lugging our bags up the side stairs to get inside from the parking location we found. This was the only negative to this location.

Historic environment, location, ambiance
Food services left a lot t be desired. Floyd’s was noisy, over air conditioned and food was not very appetizing. Tried Rose And Tyne for breakfast but wait staff discouraged us from waiting because he was the only one waiting and there were 18-20 people ahead of us and we Colin have a wait time of more than an hour to be served. Went out to Waffle House instead!

A classic historical hotel, with a beautiful wood panelled central lobby. Pleasant accommodating staff. We parked for free on the street right outside the front door. The hotel has quirky mix of architectural features.
The first room offered opened onto a central atrium that was open to the sky - it had noisy air conditioners at room level, so we had to change rooms. I suggest you go for an outside room, and on the side street if you want a quieter room. The restaurant was closed the day we were there. The room was small, as to be expected in an old hotel, but it was cosy and comfortable.

The staff (Jessica specifically) went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We were so disappointed that the ghost tour wasn't happening on the weekend we were there. So, the sweet lady behind the desk gave us a script of the tour so we could have a self-guided experience. We appreciated it so much! Then, we asked the housekeeper to replenish our coffee (we didn't need a full room refresh) and she gave us one of every flavor on her cart so we had every choice! The food in the dining room was wonderful. We would travel back to Americus simply to eat the spinach and artichoke dip and homemade tortilla chips!
There wasn't a whole lot to see in the little town of Americus. Very few of the shops were open or had things of interest. We were, however, able to travel to Providence Canyon, Andersonville, and Plains pretty easily.

This hotel is just so beautiful. Staff was so amazing and very helpful. Rooms were very nice and beds very comfortable. We went to a local bar and grill, The Spot across the street and again very friendly. Would stay here again when traveling for sure.

The room was traditional Hundred plus year old Hotel room (~11 x 12), which just added to the charm. The Room, Bed/Bath Linin and everything were clean. The charm and beauty of the 130-year-old hotel just added to the stay, and the staff were warm, engaging and helpful. Generally, it was very quiet stay, and the Queen bed was super comfortable. Being able to walk though almost all the levels of the Windsor, was amazing.
The only issue with the room was the light coming in around the door, but we figured out how to make-due, for the most part. We stayed the night at the Windsor as it was close to the SAM Shortline Murder Myster Dinner Train and, had it not been for the Windsor, the stay in Americas would have been a complete bust, because the train ride was NOT worth it, but the Windsor was!

The staff was great although not very knowledgeable about the SAM train excursion less than half a mile away. We stayed at the hotel to take the Mystery Dinner Train Ride and asked about the location.
The restaurant and bar did not open until 5 pm and the bistro downstairs was not open on the weekends. On Sunday, brunch did not start until 11 am so we were unable to have breakfast before we left.

Overall the hotel is very good. Interior hotel looks excellent with decorations. The hotel room walls has decorative rugs. The view of the inside and outside hotel looks impressive. The hotel reception area is good. The bathroom was clean and well maintained.
The hotel room inside could have been freshness and improved. Hotel had small microwave, but not working properly. The hotel have restaurant for the breakfast. The overall food quality average.

The historical significance of the building and the attention to detail. Dining room was beautiful and staff were friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable. A good preservation and celebration of the past but still allowing for modern amenities.
The area around the hotel seemed a little depressed but it wouldn’t deter me from coming again.
