Courtyard by Marriott Macon

The room was spacious and clean. All amenities were available like a microwave and small fridge. Location close to the high way.

The price for the food is pretty overrated. You pay a lot of money for small portions. Besides that you get plastic cutlery only. Not very comfortabel for dinner. They advertise that the hotel has a restaurant, in real life its only a couple of seats in the lobby bar. No breakfast buffet, but a la carte only. When you include breakfast in your room rate, bare in mind you are only allowed 1 item from the bar breakfast menu including a coffe OR juice. Very small portions again. We were pretty disapointed about this. Not what you may expect from a Courtyard by Marriott.

The staff made my stay wonderful. I’m here on a hospital visit for my mom and every day the staff was genuine and caring and so attentive. the caliber of these ladies are 5 star! I couldn’t have asked for a better crew. good amenities, decent coffee in room, Starbucks at lobby, great food options, housekeeping very attentive to the little things and kind, the in room bathroom was so clean, full restaurant/deli options, good drinks, great location to a lot of dining options. property was pleasantly clean. I felt safe as a solo traveler.

The dim entrance areas on the side of the building but I also don’t see well at night.

the halls are icy. Freeze walking down the hall to get to room. room was warm tho. Had to hunt ice location. drinks only on first floor and one soft bottled drink was $3.85. No info on food hours. There was a grill on first floor. Food looked good but we went out to eat breakfast. there’s an I-hop near and a Cracker Barrel that’s a better breakfast and better cost

Location was great, near restaurants and shopping. My room was nice and comfortable. The toilet was nice and high. Usually when I go to a hotel the toilets are so low and that bothers my knees.

They didn't have free breakfast included. My shower only had hot water or off. There was no cold water. The TV remote didn't work properly, I could turn the TV on and off and adjust the volume but it wouldn't change channels, I had to manually do that on side of the TV.

When I checked in the customer service, staff at the front desk was very friendly and professional. The hotel lobby was nice and clean. When we checked out the overnight staff was very nice also and encouraging. Keep these staff because good customer service is very hard to fine now days.

Parking was hard to find at night.

Staff was excellent, I had many questions and they were professional and accurate.

Looked like someone had previously tried to pry the lock open to my room 336, at the very end of the hall.. A little unnerving to see that big gouge. Just makes you wonder if someone else would have the same idea and finish the job.

Our room was wonderful. Sliding glass doors open onto woods. Great curved sofa with a little coffee table. Barbara, who runs the Bistro served us the best Turkey club. The next morning we had the breakfast egg white sandwich on a biscuit. It was huge! So good. She is wonderful. Ludcrezia who helped her and was in training was too. All the staff was super helpful.

The train goes by at night. Just turn on the blower on the room air and it will be fine.

The overall cost was much cheaper than the usual hotels I stay at in the area.

The only slight issue was the staff member that served us our coffee. She was very abrasive and impersonal towards myself and my kids. She seem polite to other customers I don’t know may have been having an off day 🤷🏼‍♀️

The hotel desk clerk didn’t explain to me about saying no to housekeeping. While this may be obvious, I had been traveling so My mind was elsewhere. While I understand most places have stopped breakfast due to COVID, they could have put breakfast snacks in a bag like most places. This is a decent hotel but the suite doesn’t have a sofa bed just a small couch. But it does have the best gym I have seen in a hotel! I would only go back if my stay at comfort inn isn’t up to par. I will continue to compare as I have family in Macon.

Staff was great! They were super friendly and had a fun attitude which was welcome as the family and I stayed in Macon on our way to vacation and on our way home (Somewhere in the middle of a 19 hour drive). The beds were comfortable. Rooms were nice size and clean. It's located in a great spot. Highly recommend.
