Big house with large kitchen and beautiful view. Offers free parking. We were the only ones in the house, no other guests, which was very nice.

We had the room (nr 3) right next to the bathroom, which shares a door (that is locked), however you can still hear the noise from the bathroom. Since we were the only ones it didn‘t bother us, but if there‘s other people, this is not so nice. Plus the bathroom door squeaks super loud (maybe this can be fixed)

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and everything was very clean and neat. Easy communication and all the necessary information before arriving with codes to open the doors was easy. We were comfortable.

There was only one shared bathroom on our floor, and if there were people showering or a queue for the shower, you couldn't go to the toilet. There was only one, everything was together.

This rental was for a private room inside basically a mansion with many private rooms. Each room had their own code and we shared the bathroom that was in the house. This was exactly what my husband and I needed for our stay in Hilo because we knew we were going to be out driving to different places every day. We only stayed in the room to sleep at night and we left early and came back late every day so not much was needed at the house. Free parking was a huge bonus and parking was never a problem. If this is the type of place you are looking for, this is perfect and at a great value!

The kitchen wasn't super stocked up so if you wanted a longer term or wanted to cook every day, you might need to buy some additional stuff to suit your needs. Towels were a little small but we made due. Again, none of this impacted our stay because we got exactly what we needed.

It was an excellent room. We had the king with private bathroom. Small problem getting the tv working but it was settled quickly. The staff was very helpful. Has a full kitchen and dining area that we did not know about that was a big plus. We would be happy to stay there again next time.

The facilities were excellent. The manager, Sarge, was both very helpful and a very bright and interesting guy. The place was clean and well appointed. The other guests were friendly and interesting. The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were bright and welcoming. The kitchen was very usable.

The only real drawback was that the road noise was loud at night.

The property was very clean and spacious. If you have a rental car, the location was perfect to visit all the spots on the Hilo side of the island. Finally the value for money ratio was very good!

The guidelines / agreements for the kitchen and food in the fridge were not really clear. Unfortunately, my food went into the trash....

We booked the „Suite“ with the private bathroom. Room was super sweet, comfortable and very clean. Bathroom was amazing! The kitchen and living room can be used by everyone, so you could cook yourself some nice food. Nice house, smooth and easy Check in and out process. Very good value! we would always come back!

The fridge is disgusting, old and just awful. Dear owner, please change it!

The place was spacious, and we loved the shower most of all. The bed was comfortable, and the house was situated close to town. The big TV was nice to watch in bed at night.

The place is definitely worn. It needs new carpet and some new curtains. There is a lot of street noise. It's situated on the corner of a very busy street with cars that fly by and are quite loud at times. We had to keep the windows closed to minimize noise at night. I also didn't appreciate receiving a warning before we arrived about not having extra people on the premises at all. It was very unwelcoming. We actually didnt receive any message that was warm or welcoming. If we had been visiting friends on our visit, which we weren't, but if so then this would have been a late warning. This is something that should be addressed before booking a room, not moments before arrival.

One can jaunt down hill into the Hilo waterfront, a little over a half hour. Maybe grab some coffee at the 7-11 at the half way point, or get some stronger stuff downtown. A quick Uber/Lyft ride to anywhere in town. Clean and well maintained. Quiet suburban setting. None of the rampant homeless shenanigans of downtown and bayfront hotel and home-stay locations... which I personally find fascinating but could use an occasional break from, as this location provides. It's got familiar "normie" appeal.

Nothing really close by. Shared bathroom might be an issue for some. We were fine with it.

Quick to get to from airport. Very kind owner. Comfortable surroundings. I felt very safe. Very easy to get into my room with the access code. Neat shower! Comfortable bed.

Some pretty noisy neighbors across the back yard. I realize the owners couldn’t control that but it was really quite loud and long lasting !
