The rooms and the entire hotel are well cleaned and beautiful. Towels are new and fluffy. the photos are taken when i check out.

(As a premise, I like to clean very much.) The shelves above the vanity were too large and the vanity was very difficult to use. When I checked in, there was a very very small weak winged insect in the room, which I removed by swatting it with a newspaper I had. The screen of window was new, so maybe they went in through the door when they cleaned room? That's my guess. The bed mattress was a little too soft for me.

Great koi pond, Zen pool area, daily activities like yoga, lei making, and more. Appreciate they had laundry facilities on the property. Easy access to many of the local attractions. Lots of little extras like water filling station, free tea and coffee, paddle boards, umbrellas. Nice lounge area with music on the weekends, a game area, and even books to borrow during the stay. They kept the hotel very clean,

More color in the rooms, felt a bit plain/dormitory. Would have liked awareness about their vicinity to the airport, though didn't hear planes after 10pm or before 8am.

ALOHA Favourite place, definitely lobby/reception area. always feel chill. The main entrance of the hotel is lovely design and has this special atmosphere/good vibes. There's a refillable water station in lobby(don't forget to bring your own water bottle) free coffee (nice one) and tea all day. free bike rental etc.. (check the website) The room is good size, bed is comfortable and the shower is equipped with nice shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion. (large size ) there's a mini fridge and a tv and working desk. The best part of the room is design, you will fell happy when you open the door, nice art pieces and furniture, wooden ceiling fan. Friendly staffs. :)

Bathtub stains, old look bathtub. probably is the least cool thing in the room. and sound proof is a bit weak, it's a concern if you meet some other guest which love to turn on TV all day all night. :(

The hotel is attractively decorated with plenty of comfortable seating areas and a good pool. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful which made a nice atmosphere and there was live music in the large lobby/lounge area on Friday night. Coffee and kettles for tea/hot water were provided in the reception area round the clock. A microwave is available and there are a couple of restaurants close by. There is a guest laundry with machines and dryers. It is located close to the seafront with attractive views over the park and inlet.

Most rooms open onto the public spaces and walkways so you can hear everyone walking past. Unless you have an ocean view room your window is a frosted glass louvred window so there is no view and the room is quite dark. There is no room safe.

This is the second time I've stayed here and I really like this hotel, the staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful, the rooms are refurbished, modern, clean and comfortable, rooms with balconies are the best, the hotel has an amazing vibe and they always surprise with unexpected events, last time was a complimentary lei-making event and this time was a complimentary local fruit tasting, fantastic pool, great business center and a good price.

Rooms without balconies don't have great natural light but still very clean, modern and comfortable.

beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location right across from the bay. Super friendly staff- very clean hotel. The soap and shampoos smell amazing and coffee is available 24/7 in the lobby. Pool is deep and very nicely done. Highly recommend visiting Hilo over Kona.

Having to take stairs with luggage to the third floor was a little rough, but we got use to it. No microwave in the room was inconvenient , but there was one in the lobby. Would have liked to see bagels or some sort of breakfast fair in the morning, but there was a good restaurant attached to the hotel.

The superior staff at the SCP was kind and helpful in finding us a room very late at night when we had to leave a vacation rental due to plumbing issues. When the room we were assigned to ended up having electric issues, they quickly moved us into a different, upgraded room. The whole hotel was clean and comfortable--not fancy or luxurious, but nice. We appreciated the various meeting rooms on site where we could sit and play games or work. The pool area with lounge chairs and tables to sit at was a great place to relax or share a meal together as a group. The hotel was within walking distance of the beach and several restaurants. We would definitely return again.

Everything was amazing! From the property's commitment to environmental sustainability, which was apparent by water refill stations, the usage of glass cups and ice containers, a complimentary hospitality area with books, games, etc. And other small touches like a dual-flush toilet or a coffee set-up and microwave in the lobby . Their shop supports small local artisans and they even have free cultural community events for guests to learn more about Hawaii. As conservationists ourselves, all of these efforts were greatly appreciated ! The grounds are gorgeous and the pool is well-maintained. The koi pond is a relaxing touch, we enjoyed eating on our balcony and watching the fish below. The staff are very friendly and helpful! We also really enjoyed making leis with Mamo - if they are offering it during your stay this is a must do, we learned so much from her !

Our first room had an issue but Charlee at the lobby upgraded us to a room overlooking the koi pond. The rest of our stay here was amazing. The surrounding area save for the public park across the street isn't super walkable but the hotel itself is well worth it!

The room had an a/c unit and a ceiling fan. Our room had 2 double beds and a balcony overlooking the koi pond. Nice. The hotel is older and a bit dated but the location was excellent and they provided free parking. It was also only about a mile or 2 from the airport. There were several restaurants within walking distance also. The beds were comfortable, fridges in the room, paddle boards and bikes were free for guests, nice pool with towels and a small work out room. It would be great for families. They also provided a water bottle refill station and happily stored our bags until check in time. It is more of a cozy atmosphere, but with lots of rooms and a 24hr. desk.

The hotel was a bit dated. You could tell the hotel was not newly built. The bathroom was small.

Staff and Coffee,Bikes,entertainment,across pond,. Ny gurst fell in front of hotel driveway. There is a 5 inch lip from sidewalk to driveway. Coming out of hotel its a blindspot even with the yellow line. The 2 rugs need to be flush wuth last step of stairs. The driveway needs to be leveled with Asphalt

The name SCP. Seaside Hotel was always a landmark.. please replace name back too lustre. If you wanna keep it real, dont change name. A name in Hawaii is a statement…
