Volcano is fantastic and lotus garden a good base to explore. The owner built a lot himself and the stay is in the middle of lots of green. The cottage is nice but overstuffed with furniture and things and therefore it is hard to move inside. I think the cottage would be much nicer if some of the not essential stuff would be removed. The cleanliness is ok but could be slightly better in and around the house to feel even more comfortable. Also the breakfast piece if the B&B is quite basic. A proper breakfast would add value. Still we enjoyed our stay and those are only little easy fixes to make this a really nice place. The Asian Lotus style is awesome.

Beautiful tucked away cottage style room in a jungle like garden setting. The bed was super comfortable, the room was zen-like decorated and the breakfast with lots of fruit and pastry was simply delicious. We had the most peaceful sleep on this very quiet property. Also enjoyed the little outdoor hot tub. This place is within short distance to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park and all its beautiful sightseeing and hikes. I also highly recommend to book a cave tour near Glenwood with Kazumura Cave Tours. The guide is super knowledgable and walking through the big lava tube was one of the highlights of our stay on the Big Island.

This was by far the most romantic, beautiful, luxurious, and relaxing stay of our entire honeymoon. It was tropical, came with a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit juice and a pastry or quiche, every detail of this stay was thought out so that every convenience was afforded and you couldn't possibly wish for anything more. The location was also perfect and allowed us a full day of exploring the national park as it was just minutes away. The host was gentle and generous and the whole stay was a highlight of our trip.

We loved everything! The jacuzzi tub did have a wonky drain that may need fixing but we made it work for us and enjoyed it twice!

Room was great - high quality features like amazing soaker tub, dual shower, and garbage disposal. Bed was comfortable. Location was peaceful and quiet, close to national park, but felt like in the jungle.

Breakfast was not good, over priced, and more work than it was worth. Don’t waste your money there. Room was dusty and had cobwebs in those hard to reach places like around the bed.

The location and the ambiance. Away from the big hotel tourist crowds. Quiet, lush and 5 minutes from Volcano National Park entrance! Small fun restaurants and general store ver close. Owner was so nice!

Can’t think of a thing that could be better. Covid caused restrictions like hot tub closed, but everything is like that worldwide. Well, mostly when you care about each other!!

Loved the decor and cozy vibes. John was extremely helpful and had the room ready for our arrival. He had our breakfast and food all stored in the refrigerator for our arrival.

There is nothing I could ask more from this stay. It was perfect for us as its literally 7 mins away from Volcanoes National Park.

We absolutely loved this little “rain forest” sanctuary. The decor is so cool, great breakfast, not tub and amazing host Mr Kim gives tips of the neighborhood.

The decor was imaginative and made us feel as if we were in Japan.

Our room really needed a chest of drawers so we could store our clothes and put our suitcases away.

Beautiful, tranquil setting—you feel as if you’re in the middle of an exotic Hawaiian garden. Large, airy cottage with small kitchen, dining table & fireplace. Very good and unique breakfasts sustained us for our many hikes. Great location, off the beaten path, but convenient to Volcanoes National Park.
