I liked the large room with high ceilings, the king bed, the little lanai and the ocean view. The service was very friendly with lots of Aloha. I loved the great price we got booking on Priceline. I also loved the convenience of the open parking lot, with parking included with our stay, along with the Longs Drugs right next door and the convenience of the location in Kapaa.

Coffee at breakfast in the hotel and in the room wasn’t that great, however there are a lot of other coffee shops on island (including Starbucks and local coffee shops nearby) that we visited.

The room was nice. The staff was friendly, especially the coffee shop ladies. I appreciated the cleanliness of the property.

The pillows were awful. No support at all in the pillows. I was told I had a garden view and it turned out that garden view means some plants right next to the parking lot which was my main view. I did not like that the front desk staff often seemed distracted if another staff member was helping someone else. That was not worth the price of the room. Checking in and out the front desk clerks seemed distracted and had to ask more than once what they could help me with. Having worked in customer service, I have high expectations of the level of service, including having staff that is present in the moment.

Room was lovely and we had a beautiful view of the ocean from the room. Bed was very comfortable and the room was always clean.

The servers at the restaurants were slow and it was difficult to get their attention. We often waited a long time to put in our order and then to get our check. We generally had to find a waiter to ask for help. The food for breakfast was delicious and the more casual restaurants were really good. The food at the expensive dinner restaurant was disappointing.

Beautiful, spacious room - after 22 hours of travel and a botched flight, I cried with happiness when I arrive. Large, comfy bed - I didn't want to get out. Friendly, helpful staff - especially the bar staff. Accessible, enjoyable bar - open to late with a large selection of drinks. Lots of room to sit by the pool. With a spa too. As well as on the foreshore in hammocks. Very laidback, enjoyable environment. I happily spent the day here, relaxing before a friends wedding. I loved walking along the foreshore footpath, following the shoreline and walking past the other hotels.

The beach wasn't an inviting swim, though a beautiful backdrop - which is not a fault of the hotel's. But flagging in case you're romanticising a beach swim; the hotel pool is better. Watch: hidden costs. This might be normal/acceptable in non-Australian countries but I was caught off guard. There's the room cost, then there's the taxes (which booking.com tends to include in their final price), and THEN the hotel has a 'resort fee'. Which allows for 'amenities' access - which I find a bit "on the nose", the 'amenities' is what you automatically have access to when you book a room... but i guess some countres/states prefer a staggered bill...

Our room was beautiful with an amazing view of the beach and the pool. Our dinner and drinks at the bar and moa moa restaurant were lovely. All the staff were incredibly friendly

My only complaint would be that the moa moa restaurant seemed slightly dated compared to the beautiful reception area and rooms. Maybe its on the list next to get updated?

Views were beautiful. The room was clean, and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was indeed NOT included for 10 cents. It is an error from booking.com that hasn’t been fixed.

Chicken sandwich at the crooked surf I do not recommend!! Prices at the coconut market (5 min walk) are reasonable for food and has greater variety.

Food from restaurants was tasty and ample. Housekeeping great. Pool was beautiful. Sunrises spectacular.

Disappointed our room was in a dark corner with no ocean view. Thought all rooms had a view of the ocean. But it was on ground floor and accessible to the pool area, which was good. Noisy in hallway sometimes in late evening or early morning. Doors slam loudly when closing and there is a gap at the bottom of the doorway so we could hear everything outside our room.

Very easy to drive or cycle to everything. Fantastic welcome on arrival and every staff member acknowledges you as they pass. Huge thanks to Micah, Kayla and Chance. Great facilities! The beach is a bit rough, but you can easily cycle or drive to great swimming places. Would definitely stay again.

Crooked Surf’s menu is a little bit limited, but apart from that the rooms are beautiful. Modern and very comfortable.

washer and dryer available to do your own laundry. Staff was super friendly and helpful. bikes available to use at no additional cost. water bottle station to refill your water bottles. food was delicious! room service was quick!

Couldn’t really swim at the beach because of a reef. otherwise everything else was exceptional.

It was clean, quiet, and everyone was friendly and helpful. It’s right on the beach.
