We had a great say at Kauai Shores! Good location, welcoming staff and lovely views. Free yoga in the morning, bikes you can rent, small gift shop and a great restaurant with live music in the afternoon and at night.

Two of the nights we had very noisy neighbours - a crying baby and a group of pretty noisy teenagers who had to leave for the airport at 5 in the morning. The baby situation happened during our first night and on the morning we requested a room change. It turned out the family just checked out. Then the teenagers moved in but they were also gone on the next day and we didn't have any other problems. Be careful with the bike route - at one point right after the last hotel, the track leads you to a place which didn't feel safe at all. There is a way to go around, you may want to choose this option.

*room as advertised and was very spacious with a direct view to the ocean and pool area *facilities were great including laundry, pool, ambience *within walking distance to other amenities nearby such as supermarket, restaurants, shopping village.

*I complained about occupants adjacent to me having a domestic and drunken verbal fight almost every night I was there, plus they were smoking the whole time when the hotel doesn't allow it. It didn't seem like security did too much to monitor or resolve the situation. *the parking bays are ridiculously tight and some spots couldn't be parked into because of people who have no idea how to park a car - just get the valets to do it! *this isn't a criticism of the hotel, in particular, but of Hawaii in general - resort fees are an absolute joke...nowhere else in the world do you get charged for parking, a safety security box (that hardly anyone uses) and random stuff that's generally included in the rate elsewhere.

The layout and decor of the resort is bright and cheerful. The ambience of grounds is inviting and the room was clean. We loved the tiki torches and all of the gorgeous flowers right outside our door. The beach was easily accessible and the morning sunrises from the beach were spectacular. The resort is conveniently located next door to the Coconut shopping plaza with a market, restaurants and many shops. We enjoyed the complimentary morning yoga classes and bikes to ride along the path in Kapa'a. It is easy to get downtown and to several other beaches by bike. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

You can't beat this Location ! The beach, the restaurant, and proximity to everything on the island really. The staff is 10/10. Angela & Ian at front desk! Tim, our trusted bartender. The pool is fabulous, the restaurant is delicious. Also, the FREE parking.

The showers/bathroom could use an upgrade. I barely fit under the shower head. Noise from parking lot. (our room was in the back of property, so I imagine its much more quiet in rooms closer to the ocean. we often heard loud music from cars, garbage trucks, etc) Parking is free but the spaces are TIGHT.

Everything about this resort was great. Location is right next to restaurants, a grocery store with made to order hot food, and light shopping at the boutiques. Atmosphere is mellow and enjoyable. Our room was nice and clean. There is a combo of carpet and tile floor and considering they are on the beach, not a speck of sand was in our room not even the bathroom..👍🏼Parking is tight simply because the stalls are barely the width of the car. However, they do encourage you to use their FREE valet, and we did! Overall, my family and I were absolutely pleased with our stay and we would definitely stay again 🤙🏼

Kauai Shores Hotel was a great little property! We loved the vibes - lawn games, beachfront restaurant, open space, more down to earth and fun than a stuffy Sheraton or Marriot property. The staff were very nice and we greatly appreciated the always accessible and free valet parking!! The property itself was much more spacious than I expected it to be.

We paid for an "oceanview" room, but truthfully, none of the rooms really had an "oceanview". They were more near the ocean, but we could not see the ocean at all from our window. The window faced the lawn. None of the rooms face the ocean, except the ones that are set further back and even then you don't get much "ocean view". Bathroom was small and ceilings were low. We didn't stay in the room much, but maybe that was to our benefit :)

This place is great, and it was perfect for us. Great location! Super convenient with the beach right there, Lava Lava Beach Club to get anything from morning coffee to full dinners + entertainment, shopping center next door, bikes to borrow!, great pool and jacuzzi, very nice staff — everything was just really easy. The bathrooms are a little dated, but we didn’t care that much. Beds were comfortable and there was a mini fridge and parking was easy as well. It was just very nice and easy, which is what we needed. Mahalo for a great time!

bathrooms are a little dated. there was one guy at the front desk who was kind of a tool. all the female receptionists/front desk staff that we interacted with were great.

I liked the location of the property as it fronted the beach. The staff was exceptional throughout my stay. The restaurant - bar was very good both in menu offerings and drinks, and the service was very good. I had requested a room with a beach view and was able to get this. Valet parking was free and was a tremendously good feature. The room was cleaned daily and that was equally as good.

The bathroom was small but very functional for a single person traveling alone as I was. However, if I had been traveling with a person who needs space and time within it, that would have been a problem.

The rooms are spacious and clean, it has free parking on site and the staff are very friendly, but the real plus points for this hotel lay outside - 2 pools, jacuzzi, beachfront access with beautiful sunrises, nice garden area with lawn games, and great restaurant on site. You can hire bikes for free and ride the coastal path which is lovely. And is near to a number of restaurants and only 15 mins from airport.

I hate the ceilings in American hotel rooms - a weird popcorn texture. However that's simply an aesthetics point which isn't specific to this hotel - it didn't affect my stay and I would stay again.

I loved my stay here - it was perfect for a solo traveler! Location was great, right on the beach (with beautiful sunrises every morning), and the coconut marketplace next door was super convenient. The connected bar was a great place to wind down after the day's activities and the bar staff and other patrons were always so nice (fun music too!) Everyone I talked to at the front desk was lovely. The free bike rentals were a nice perk to take along the Kapa'a bike path. Morning yoga was super chill and lovely with the waves crashing in the background. Honestly everything was fantastic, I hope to come back and bring friends.

The rooms were a bit dated and had a strong cleaning chemical smell when I first arrived. But the bed was comfortable and I really wasn't trying to spend too much time in Kauai in the hotel room anyways. I also overheard that they are currently working on upgrading / remodeling the rooms.
