Hilton Vacation Club The Point at Poipu Kauai

We had family in Waimea so this was a nice central location to get anywhere on our agenda. We were in building 10 which was very easy to access for our car. The grounds were very nicely maintained. We were not right near the pool, which we prefer to reduce noise but it was jut a short walk to get to the pool. Having a washer and dryer is bonus to us when travelling. We asked for new towel exchange a few times and was handled easily.

We did find a cockroach on our couch which worries me about taking them home with us. The kitchen cabinets need some TLC, but they had all the accessories we needed in the kitchen.

I did not partake of the breakfast, nor any meals at the Pointe. I cooked all meals in my suite--which has a very nice kitchen and supplies. I am concerned about the safety of the complex, and noticed a few maintenance items which should be fixed--a broken vinyl blind in my kitchen, the hanging drapes/curtains were difficult to slide--like the slides needed to be cleaned and greased, and the tiles outside walkways are REALLY slippery--a real hazard for older people and kids running around.

Outside walkway tiles should be "roughed up" to prevent slips and falls. Lock on my patio door was old--difficult to open and close. Glass soap dish in bathroom should be replaced by soap dispenser or non breakable soap dish. No grab bars in tubs or showers--all of this just makes sense to prevent injuries

Love in unit stackable washer and dryer that was so useful keeping our clothes washed daily. Unit was spacious, good size living room,dining, master bedroom and bathroom, good kitchen with dishes, utensils, pots & pans, coffee maker, kitchen appliances etc. Like the big window patio doors with garden and partial ocean views. Housekeeping staff was responsive when I requested things. Parking closed to the unit. Nice modern furniture and decor. Comfortable and quiet stay for the five of us.

Overpriced and a price gouging charges of $6000 for eight nights for a two bedrooms and two bathrooms garden view room in building 10, far from the pool. No housekeeping for the 8 nights stay, not even a mid week cleaning the room, no emptied the trash, cleaning the unit, replacing with clean towels, restocking coffees and teas; had to take trash out ourselves. Request of Housekeeping would cost extra $89 each time in addition to paying $6,000 for eight nights!!! Housekeeping should be given daily for free; or at a minimum at mid week! No AC in the living room, only in bedrooms so have to leave bedroom door opened to get some AC to living room.

great resort, huge apartment with everything you need, from dishwasher to pizza knife. clean, comfortable. The pool is lovely for kids, and the jim is well equipped. You can rent beach chairs, umbrellas and DVD right at the resort.

The food at the poolside restaurant is mediocre at best.

Friendly, helpful staff who quickly agreed to move us away from construction & blocked view of ocean. Large spacious, clean 2 bedroom/living/kitchen Convenient to Shipwreck Beach and Poipu Beach

Layout of building and entire resort is confusing Lack of good directional or building signage Dead ends in sidewalk that could have quickly gotten us from building 8 to 9. Only one elevator in building and was not working for part of our stay—reluctant to trust it. lots of walking.

The room was big with all the neccessities for a family (kitchenware, washing machine, etc.). The facilities were also great - the pool was awesome and the hot tub was great. The staff was also great, and the hotel manager went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of.

The room was a bit on the old side, and the shower could use a detachable shower head, for kids coming back from the beach or a hike.

The condo was great! Loved the setback balcony and our garden view actually allowed us to see the ocean and sunrise!. Enjoyed the nearby hotub and facilities in the condo.

Constant harrassment about tour of property and lack of true, significant discounts from "concierges. Most of these folks were helpful, one showed her annoyance and anger when I reminded her I was not interested in any tours of the property that were looking for a sale.

Our two bedroom accommodation add plenty of room and we had a partial Oceanview which was very nice. We appreciate it having an adult spa which meant no children running around, so it was relaxing. The property was quite nice and the pool area was beautifully landscaped.

I realize the accommodation was built sometime ago and some of the tile and carpet need some updating. The cabinets in the kitchen were a bit musty smelling.We knew that the location was by the ocean, but I did not realize it was a rocky beach so we had to walk to the properties next-door or to Poipu beach, not very far away.

Didn't do breakfast. I like the service nice views

you don't have a beach (sand), unless you walk to the next resort. I extended my stay one more night, but coudn't get the same price at the reception than online

OMG! i cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed the hotel! everything was amazing!!! We super enjoyed Kauai most especially staying here!! We loved loved loved everything!!! Rooms were huge! 2 bedrooms with own shower, 1 with tub, fully equipped kitchen and living room, dining room. geez! super!!! Location was super!!! Quiet, relaxing, fabulous!!! Poipu beach is close for snorkelling. We were checked in at 1st level in building 100, my geez!! it was too stunning! we are at the corner, we were able to open the patio doors of the rooms and the living room and also enjoyed sunrise and sunset from our patio, also loved that we can just come out of our rooms and walk on the grass. They allowed us to do early check in. All the facilities were nicely kept, clean and all. The gardens were fab! The pool even though not deep, it was still a great place to hangout! loved the night swimming cos u can watch the stars while floating, superrr!! They let us leave our luggages for the day as we had a late flight, let us use the facilities before our flight, we were able to use the pool and their shower too!! The staff were wonderful!! There was more to enjoy in the hotel but sadly we had to leave!! the place was just a perfect vacation! We cannot thank you enough for letting us enjoy Kauai!! Will definitely be staying here when we travel back to Kauai! ❤️❤️❤️
