My favorite things about this B and B was the wealth of suggestions on nearby restaurants, and the Maui guidebook left in the bedroom. Our snorkeling trip was cancelled, and we found the perfect substitute activities because the guidebook was available. I loved the super quiet location in a residential area. Just like my quiet home. I loved the lights of the valley, and the view across to the volcanic mountain. It was a treat to look through the skylights and see the stars at night.

Both my husband and I woke up very stiff both mornings. The bed was huge, but not as soft as we like. It was chilly in the evenings, but there was no obvious heat source. (I know it's Hawaii, but it was January and because of the elevation, the mornings were cold!--maybe provide warm bathrobes and slippers? I didn't expect to be cold in Hawaii.) The bathroom needs a fan. Breakfast was not included. Coffee and coffeemaker were available, but lacked instructions. It was nice to have herbal tea at bedtime.

The space was amazing... the comfort, the decor, the views. It was just as clean as our home, so that was really appreciated. And the owners (Steve & Diane) were very cool folks. Had a great chat with them. The property was beautiful and abundant with serene views, deer, exotic birds, and plants, and sits atop a lovely neighborhood. It is also conveniently located and totally updated.

Something to be aware of is that you are staying inside their home. It is not clear on the website, but there are curtains that separate the kitchen and the downstairs bedroom from the part that we rented. It was not a huge deal, but we did feel like we had to stay quieter and be cognizant that we might run into each other downstairs. The upstairs bedroom, bathroom, and decks were totally private and pristine. We just didn't use the common area downstairs since it was connected to the owners' living space.

the two decks, one with a view toward Haleakala and one facing the sea, were so great! the place is in a cute residential neighborhood, at the top of the hill facing open space. the hosts are super friendly and helpful. less than one hour drive to Haleakala summit.

the king bed seemed a little short, but it was plenty wide and comfortable enough.

It is a beautiful, spacious house, with great views, located in Kula, which gives good access to Haleakala Summit for the sunrise. The owners also live in the house, but the guest portion is cordoned off and felt private. The hosts were kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

The shower could have been a little hotter for my taste, but only a minor issue.

It was beautiful and the Kula area amazing. There was a jacaranda tree within close proximity and it was totally amazing. It was wonderful to see the 'other side' of Haleakala. The views were amazing and we were sorry to leave. Steve and Diane's hospitality was warm and welcoming

Steve and Diane's place was absolutely fantastic. We stayed here the night before we headed to the sunrise and the the location could not have been more convenient! Their place is fully decorated, comfortable and homey, and spectacular views. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer to enough it! Highly recommend and would love to come back. Go buckeyes!

1. Kind host and comfortable facilities. 2. 2 floors, 2 terrace and rooftop. It's the best site to see the sunset. 3. Location. If you will visit Haleakala then you should consider to stay at here. There are also some blankets for visitors.

The location was great - it is really close to Haleakala and also to Road to Hana! It was a lovely stay

Quiet, comfortable, lovely place situated near the Haleakala national park. Friendly hosts with lots of ideas to sightsee and eat. Warning steep stairs to bedroom and bathroom but well lit with sturdy railing. 2 private decks on that floor.

The accommodations we booked were attached to the main house with only a shear curtain hung in the connecting doorway which did not give us a sense of privacy.
