The check in and valet were the friendliest hotel experiences we have ever had. The grounds here are amazing. Birds, an incredible pool, excellent restaurants, and a wonderful space to just walk around in. We had a pool and ocean view room that was amazing to just view from our room. The wrist bands and towel lockers were genius.

The breakfast was incredibly backed up and crowded. This hotel is 45 minutes from the airport. There was not an offer to upgrade our room to club level.

The pool was so much fun for kids and adults! The staff were wonderful! And, the different animals and activities were cool!

They constantly tried to rope you into their time share thing, to me it was icky and felt like a pop up add when my family was just trying to relax. The breakfast buffet isn’t very fresh, I’ve had better free breakfast at hotels which is pretty sad considering their price.

Good buffet breakfast. Menu rotated daily. Free (included in the resort fee) beach chair and umbrella.

Beach was iffy. Lots of rocks and not very wide. The beach was much better in front of the Westin. They say they are repairing the beach since there was a lot of erosion, but we didn't see any action.

What a gem! This resort is the quintessential expectation of a postcard setting in Maui! Gorgeous grounds, beautiful views & spectacular "grand setting" right on the beach in Maui. It's a giant property but despite being packed, you still felt like there was a personal experience there due to the engaging staff at the hotel's outlets. (pool bar, restaurants, gift shops, etc...) The room was modern, pristine & perfect in every way - we had a corner king with a giant balcony overlooking the setting sun on the Pacific Ocean. If you are going to spend any significant time in the room, go for the ocean view, it's worth the extra price for that million-dollar view every morning & evening! Again, quality of room and all the amenities in it are upscale and awesome! Also - eating at Jepango (sp?) in the hotel is a must - it was our favorite dining experience and looking back I wish that we would have eaten there twice instead of just once on our last night. High quality food & service!

Not much to be honest - we enjoyed everything. Because booking.com is prompting me to write more with the little orange/red gauge below, i will let you know of one thing that was meh. The buffet breakfast in the a.m. - wow! While the food was good, the service was good, the scene was chaotic. Think of a 2,000-person cruise ship buffet - people everywhere, plates clanging, bussers bussing, food runners bringing out chaffing dishes - it was like BEST BUY opening up their doors on Black Friday after Thanksgiving. If you are looking for an easy-chill-quiet start to your day - don't come here expecting that - if you want a quick-fast 15-minute wham-bam-thank-you-mam buffet you'll be in and out in a jiffy! Stimulating to say the least! LOL

our ocean front room in the Atrium building was absolutely beautiful. we loved how big it was, the balcony and the great bathroom layout with plenty of storage.

the Grotto was a little smelly.

The pool was gorgeous. the room was super comfortable and had everything we needed. we felt like we were as safe as possible while in the middle of the covid crisis. Everyone obeyed the mask rules as expected and that is re-assuring. The breakfast buffet was something we looked forward to each morning. Everything was wonderful and the servers were so friendly and helpful. The fresh pineapple was not the sweetest...we visited the Maui Gold plantation, and their product is so much better! Just a suggestion...

I had to print out the airline boarding passes for six people, and, although I appreciated the use of computers in the lobby, it cost me over 27 dollars to print them! Most hotels provide a password for guests to access a printer for this purpose...free of charge!

Great customer service. Conor looked out for us personally. The bed was even more comfortable than four seasons. Breakfast Buffet was probably the best we’ve ever had and held us down for the whole day! Hotel layout with cabanas mixed with ppls and staff vibe was on point. Also the staff went above and beyond in welcoming me and my fiancé with a romantic presentation of flowers and heart shaped towels on our bed. What an experience. No complaints! This is not a 4.5 star hotel, this is a 5. We will be back.

Nothing.

Beautiful resort, lovely staff, great facilities. The animals on the property were an amazing addition, as well as the views and landscaped grounds. Nice elements to make the stay comfortable such as towel caddies and filtered water around the property. Plenty to keep you occupied at the resort as well as nearby to the village and town.

More positives than negatives, however our room near the elevator meant we could hear it from our bed, people were reserving chairs at the pool first thing in the mornings and coming back for them later, need to walk down the beach a little if you want a bigger beach to sit at as the water in front of the property is quiet high up the shore.

Grand style hotel on huge parcel on beach. 2 full restaurants on premises as well as other shops. Good upkeep and maintenance for a slightly older property. Animals on premises (penguin show, exotic birds and fish). close to shopping and Lahina town and beautiful walking path on beach.

not a good value at the price level. Hard to avoid the time share sales pitch desks all over the property and even beach path. All the staff were great with the exception of the tall slender woman at the spa who was extremely unfriendly.

although the room was next to the elevator with a wake up call at 5:30am and a goodnight at 11--love the size and that we had a mt and ocean view--also loved the waiters at breakfast, very funny and started the day off with a smile.....

never sat around the pool because it was crowded-sorry that there is no way to open it up just a little.....-family was staying at Marriott so we were at the beach with them or over in their grill area....
