Everything was clean and there were lots of places to eat close by. We didn't need to wander far to enjoy Maui.

As a couple traveling without our children we didn't need to take advantage of the free activities offered. For the price of the room we should have had breakfast included. To be charged for parking, lawn chairs and snorkeling equipment, in addition to $600 per night for a small double room turned out to not be a good bargain for us. It could be great for families with small children.

Our room was great, with ocean view and right in front of the pool and the beach. It was great and the pool very nice as well. We had Cabana Reservation for one of the days, it was very nice as well. The Resort is in a great location.

The only thing we didn’t really like is the fact that we were not able to book any reservations for dinners, the few places available at the Resort were booked way ahead of time, we did not know we had to make reservations for dinner, it was our first time in Hawaii. It was a special trip, I proposed to my wife for our 25th Wedding Anniversary coming up in 2023, however as much as I wanted to do it in such a beautiful place, I ended up having to make Reservations for dinner somewhere else. I definitely think more restaurants or places that are open 24 hours for dinner would be a great idea to add to the Resort. As well as having Room Service 24/7. Thanks The Chavez Family from California. Mahalo.

Beautiful resort and loved the view from my balcony in bldg 6

Only 2 things...would have liked more food choices for in-room dining or even take out availability at resort restaurants for the couple nights when reservations were hard to get. And too many kids without appropriate parental supervision on our couples getaway

The location is excellent. The best beach access and the views are terrific. I stayed in the Moana building, which is really quiet (a bit far from main area by pools etc). Views over ocean are spectacular. We watched whales and dolphins from our balcony

The beds and bed linens weren't so good--sheets were really rough and the bed was too soft.

The resort feel with the pool, beach, ocean, tiki torches and Polynesian architecture makes this resort stand out above the other resorts. Being able to quickly get from your room to the pool AND beach is great. In addition, the hotel is open air, with only certain parts like bedrooms, conf rooms, some restaurants, being climate controlled; so this added a very nice touch. The fact that this resort is at the end of the beach next to black rock cliffs is an added bonus.

Finding the fitness center is a scavenger hunt. Once you find the correct building and enter through the correct entrance then the signs will lead you there, but finding that first sign is a mystery. But once you find the fitness center it has everything you need.

loved the size of the pool and the lazy River like feel. the bar/grill poolside food was excellent. we loved the beach access, snorkeling and Cliff jumping! The resort was beautiful! staying in building 2 was amazing for the easy access to the pool and beach and the ocean view from our balcony. the bed and pillows were very comfortable!

the bath/shower was outdated and the carpet in our room was also old.

Pool was great and access to the ocean was very easy. Location of the room was great and will ask for same room or one floor above on next visit. We were not able to get into one of the two restaurants for dinner. Coral Reef was very good! Overall, it was a very good first time visit to the resort. Can hardly wait to get back there.

It was pretty good all around.

I was very impressed with my Sheraton experience. We stayed in the ocean side room with a view (building 4) which I highly highly recommend. I could see the resort/ocean and hear the waves whenever I opened my door which was awesome in the morning especially. I guess if some May want a quiet room (not hearing kids yelling on the beach you may not like that). I liked how clean the rooms and resort was. I liked how friendly and helpful the staff were. You can’t beat this location IMO. Best beach, snorkeling and great restaurants in west Maui.

I didn’t like the parking fee $25/ day but that’s expected I guess.

The location at Black Beach is simply phenomenal. The ambiance, the pool area and the small beach bay is amazing. Saw tons of whales breaching without leaving the room or the beach. Everyone was accommodating.

There is a disconnect between Booking.com and the manner in which the oceanfront rooms are described. We paid for a room with two beds and a sofa sleeper and there was not one of the later. We were forced to move to another room at extra cost.

It was our first trip by plane since the pandemic. We were super excited and also a bit nervous, because not knowing what to expect exactly. The check-in was very smooth, Noah at the front desk patiently answered all of our quetions and helped us pick the room we want (we decided to go for an upgrade to get better view) and the room turns out to be great. I saw some comments about the room/furniture being dated, however our room that is in the deluxe ocean view cagtegory was nice and comfy. Due to the shortage of rental cars on the island, we pretty much spent the whole week by the pool. I strongly recommend renting the cabanas or casabanas ahead of the time. It is extra cost but for our family of four it was great because it can get pretty hot without shade. I want to give a special shout out to Ensen, our pool guy, who is a delightful youngman with an ernest, friendly attitude. He checked on us several time during the day to see if we have enough towels, etc. The food at the pool was decent, but do expect some wait time. In fact, the dining options on the island were generally very slow due to lack of staff and large amount of customers (it was surprisingly crowded when we were there). We ended up ordering doordash a couple of times and yes, expect at least one hour for derlivery time. The location of the hotel was superb, two days in a row, we saw giant turtles swam up all the way to the black rock, kids were trilled to see the turtles up close. Overall, I am very happy with our stay at Sheraton, it was much needed family fun time!
