The Falls were amazing! The view of them and access to them as well. The staff were great. Beautiful grounds!

Honestly, just breakfast. I've heard they had a great breakfast in the past and they can do much better than they're doing. For the money, we can have some local coffee and fruits. Quality yogurt, not crap. The pineapple was the only quality touch to breakfast at all. Sorry to say... I love the place, but started going out for breakfast.

What an awesome location and surroundings! Absolutely loved being able to sleep next to the waterfall and the see it in the morning. Gorgeous location and well maintained. Everyone at the Inn was very friendly and helpful!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!

This place is like being in the middle of the rainforest. We were at the Pagoda house and the waterfall was right outside my window. I loved falling asleep to the sounds of the waterfall and waking up to the birds. It was delightful. The house was clean, not a fancy hotel which is what we wanted. Breakfast was great and the staff was very nice and helpful. We also visited the Cacao farm next door and it was fun learning about chocolate. My 16 year old son said that the place was pretty cool as well!

One thing to know before going is that it is about 10-15 minutes down a one lane road that has many turns- not many cars are actually ever on the road but I am glad we had rented a Jeep for our trip.

Location and accommodations are beautiful. It is a magical place! Sound of the waterfall at night is hypnotic. Falls are lit up at night, don't miss it! Staff was wonderful. Helpful, available at all hours, and accommodating! Anything we needed, they were right there ready to assist. We forgot to sign up for breakfast and they were so accommodating. We did the waterfall repelling with guides Eric and Jeremy. They kept us safe and made sure we had fun! Inn is close to town, Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls, and Kaumana Caves (flashlight required). Be sure to feed the Koi fish near check in.

Not Hawaii's fault, but I didn't like the Mosquito Bites. Take bug spray. If you forget, the Inn's rooms have bug spray available. I used it and walked away with about 3 bites. The ones who didn't use it had about 15. Use it, you'll be glad you did.

We loved our stay. The Inn is located in a beautiful area 15 min above Hilo surrounded by farms and rainforest (check out the nearby Lavaloha chocolate farm tour!). The room was lovely and very peaceful (although invasive frogs could be loud at night). The highlight though was the on-site waterfall with a large pool where you can rent SUPs or kayaks. It was so beautiful and peaceful to paddle around in our very own rainforest waterfall pool away from any large tourist groups. The grounds with many varieties of bamboo (I never knew there were so many special varieties!) was also lovely to explore. The included breakfast on the patio of the main house overlooking the waterfall was also a plus. Highly recommend!

Although the Kulaniapia Falls property is only a few miles outside of Hilo, it feels like it's in the middle of a tropical paradise. The inn has a stunning view and access to a private waterfall. There is nothing like hearing the rush of water to make you feel at peace. The room was comfortable and clean (we stayed in the main building). The breakfast was outstanding with both hot and cold options. The coffee/tea bar was great. The lush property grounds are outstanding and the resident dogs/cat were friendly greeters. We would love to return on our next visit to the Big Island!

Our reservation information did not have the gate access code. Having it ahead of time will minimize the wait to enter the property's front gate.

The grounds were gorgeous! Amazing waterfall! It was fun living in the cabin off the grid for a few days and meeting the 20-somethings who worked at the farm.

As guests of the farm, we got mixed messages about how welcome we were to use the facilities at the Inn. One morning we were told we could not use the bathroom in the lobby as it was reserved for “guests.” (We thought we were “guests” as we were paying over $600!). But other staff treated us warmly, and I think that unpleasant experience was an anomaly.

Beautiful location next to a waterfall and peaceful area. For me it was the break from civilisation that was needed. Our room was big and beautiful. Our bed was extremely comfortable. The waterfall area had kayaks and paddleboards available, which was super convenient.

No lifts so be ready to carry your suitcase up the stairs. For the price, it was a bit steep but we did receive a great room, view and comforts. We didn't book any Activities as it was quite expensive. We were on our honeymoon but didn't receive any staff treatment around it despite paying top dollar.

Romantic place to stay if in the main suites. But no not in the farm huts. Yes the waterfall and pool are amazing …. If you are near or in sight of them but many outbuilding rooms are not. Staff were great

Just include the breakfast with accomodation. Not added charge would be more fair price. Explain and tour the farm part of the accomodation. If you come late at night, chances are good you might get missed by morning to get any kind of tour

Magical place -- absolutely otherworldly. The view from the porch at breakfast was breathtaking and the bamboo stroll to the waterfall was amazing too. It was the highlight of our vacation. We can't wait to go back and will absolutely stay here again. I still can't believe we had this waterfall paradise all to ourselves. WOW!!!
