Lava Spa Motel & RV

The room size was nice. The location was within walking distance to activities in town. The price was reasonable for the accommodations.

The a/c unit didn't stay cold and turned on and off all night long - noisy and hot sleep Need more pillows. No late check-out available. Had to reset television each time it was turned on. Parking in motel parking lot an issue. Had to park on the street the first night. Other guests were loud and used much foul language - but they were very nice :)

We loved everything about this motel. The guy at check-in was super friendly and pointed out things around town to do and even gave recommendations for an awesome tube rental to float down the river. Rooms were big and comfortable and made for a great night in Lava Hot Springs. Will definitely stay here next time we pass through town.

I love this place because the rooms are always clean. We loved getting a room with a river view this time.

I tried to turn on the TV and nothing happened. I might not have known what I was doing. It wasn't a big deal because I was hanging out with a g-friend. I do wish you didn't have to go through staff to get ice. They keep their ice locked up and they just have bags of ice, instead of a machine that produces ice. I always try to top off my stainless steel drink vessels with ice at the gas station before arriving so I don't have to go through the hassle of requesting ice at the front desk and their response that they need to look for the key to the ice chest and blah blah blah.

the staff is always very helpful, beds are comfy, and can't beat being right across the street from the hot springs. love his little town, so nice to walk around and feel super safe. we will visit again. love this place.

didn't find anything that didn't reach our expectations

It was good. It's been 18 years since I have been out there, and not a lot has changed. It seems that the owners of the hotel has done their best to keep it maintained, and everything was in working order. I was pleased

Their wifi system was outdated, and they had the login information for me to get on, and the information was wrong. They just need to update it so that guest can use it.

Spacious and hygienic rooms. I have stayed a lot of places in lava, these rooms were by far the largest, and the cleanest. For what I paid I expected the place to be a bit dingy, so I was delightfully surprised.

No complaints at all.

As mentioned, the location is perfect. Right across the street from the actual hot springs and adjacent to the Pontneuf River flowing behind the property. One fun thing to do is rent tubes from one of the vendors in town and float down the river (takes about 15-20 mins). Wasn't planned as part of the trip but was definitely a highlight so far and wouldn't have seen it if we hadn't stayed here.

The property could use a little updating, but the location makes it all worth it.

The motel is older as is everything else in this town,this place manages to keep the price reasonable,could use a coffee service that begins at 6 am.and kick it up a notch.more of a coffee presentation would go along way on reviews.

The staff was absolutely amazing. Very friendly & extremely honest! I left all of my debit cards & over $100.00 cash in the drawer of the room and didn't realize it until I was almost home. They collected it for me & kept it safe until I could return for it a couple of hours later.

We were travelling with 6 people (3 adults and 3 kids), and our 1 room family suite fit our needs. The lady at the front desk was EXCEPTIONAL!! I wish I remembered her name, because she exemplified customer service. Made us feel welcome and had lots to offer as far as activities in Lava Springs. I highly recommend this little town and the property!
