Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Evansville, IN

As soon as we walked in the room I plugged in the iron they provided and set up the ironing board, also provided. Asked my wife to iron my clothes. She promptly called the front desk and requested her own room. They were booked full for the evening. I slept like a baby as I was out all night, after being hit upside the head with the iron. Basic double Queen room. If you count my wife there were three Queens. Mini refrigerator, not stocked, microwave and a coffee pot. One pack of regular coffee and one pack of decaf coffee. Does anyone really drink decaf anymore? Bathroom was big. We could’ve snuck in two or three family members and had plenty of room for them. Oh well, we we’ll know next time. Booked our room through Booking.com for $95 plus all the fees and taxes. Ended up being a great deal for this one night stay. Made some memories and now back on the road.

Seems they require you to wear a bathing suit in the pool. They seemed to frown on the fact I forgot to pack my trunks. They also didn’t like the elevator races. What else ya going to do in a hotel when you can’t sleep at 2:30 in the morning. Over all, I guess there wasn’t anything about the hotel we didn’t like.

Bed/Bathroom stocked and cleaned well, Room was nice with seating area. Warm beverage bar available. Hot breakfast bar and other items. Lobby was was nice. Night worker was carefully mopping the entry floors by lobby. Staff friendly, helpful.Check in and out quick easy, no wait. This place was quiet , but full on the day we were there. Easy to find location.

***The room had been cleaned well. ***Room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke the entire stay. We are non smokers. Comforter was flat and thin like the sheets( needed replaced). This was not a cleaning problem.

It was a good location for the activities that we were going to. Easy to het where we was going and easy to find. The breakfast was good and a nice way to start the day and to not have to ho somewhere else to get it.

When checking in, the motel had canceled my third-party reservation. They tried to blame it on the third party, but it wasn't the third party. They did take care of it, but the lady at the desk was a little rude about it before taking care of it. There was a little highway noise, but nothing bad. The good did outweigh the bad. If I'm back in the area, I would give them another try.

The King suite was super comfortable with plenty of space for us. The bed was beyond comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. Elisha at the front desk was very helpful and super friendly. We got there quite early, but she took our information and called us as soon as our room was ready. The breakfast was very good! And the lady (I really wish I had gotten her name) who was keeping it stocked and cleaned up for an amazing job! She was very friendly, and helpful. This is definitely a place we will return to.

There really isn't much, if anything that we didn't like about it.

Location close to hospital. Quiet not very busy at the time. Water for shower got decently hot and had nice water pressure. Heater worked in room for snow weather and kept me very warm. Lobby was cool. Staff very polite. Did report exhaust fan upon check out.

Weird smell in room. Bathroom exhaust fan didn’t have a cover so it was very loud and dusty. Water didn’t drain well in tub when showering so stood in a pool of water. Blanket on bed had makeup and other various stains so I’m not sure if it hadn’t been clean or just wouldn’t wash out. Bed on the uncomfortable side.

The convenience of the location from the interstate and the local shopping area. We came to Evansville to see and visit our new 3 week old granddaughter as well as touring the newly remodeled Walmart store that was less than 5 mins from the hotel. The staff were excellent in every way. From the front desk attendant when we arrived Saturday evening, the staff attending the morning breakfast room to the front desk attendant who upon check out helped me sign up for the Rewards card. I will defiantly be staying here on all my future visits to Evansville, IN

The only thing that we were disappointed with was the cleanliness of the toilet in the room bathroom. The bottom of the toilet hadn't really been cleaned well, had a film build up along were the bolts on both sides holds the toilet to the floor. With Covid still an issue I just expected it to be much cleaner than this..

The property overall was nice! The staff were lovely to deal with.

Our room had a funny smell, almost like old cedar. A very strange scent to immediately walk into. The mini fridge did not work, so our leftovers had to be thrown away. The beds were on the firmer side, and we just prefer a softer mattress. I kept finding long, black hairs around the room. That caused it to feel not properly cleaned. Nothing bad enough to keep me from staying in the hotel again, but just things to take note of.

Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. This was the first hotel I have stayed at in Evansville that checked my room before I went up to ensure everything was appropriate.

The shower curtain was horribly stained and dirty for such a beautifully clean room and bathroom. I had to open the window to capture the beautiful sunset. The elliptical didn’t work but it turned out to be a beautiful day for a walk.

I loved that the rooms were big enough for everyone to meet in just one room. I also loved the kitchenette. This was the first hotel I stayed in that required a key card to use the elevators. That I really liked.

The neighbors had a dog that barked every time someone walked past. We were towards the end of the hall, so it didn't happen often.

Convince to HWY and town. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. I asked not to have a room by the HWY because I won't sleep because of the noise. She was able to move my room away from the HWY, and I was definitely able to sleep. She did say rooms by the HWY are loud if you are a light sleeper like me

Beds were a little hard, but not to where I couldn't get a goods night rest
