Absolutely wonderful manager, front desk clerks & staff who are all professional, along with such friendly personalities & as always, great service with a smile. My family & I consider this our home away from home....we continue to stay here periodically, since November 2022, due to my daughter's health & appointments in the area. *On a personal note to all at Microtel, My family & I would like to extend a huge thank you for being so very welcoming & accommodating, & especially for the positive thoughts, kindness & encouraging words to my daughter, myself & our family! how close it was to the university of notre dame, the front desk lady that was when we arrived it was so gentle and fix a inconvenient we had rapidly

it looks dirty, and they never came to clean our room during any of the time we stayed over, or ask us if we needed anything, breakfast it was too poor

The breakfast was decent quality. Perhaps the policy of restocking the breakfast several times throughout the morning would be a better option

Overall I was impressed by the staff's promptness to assist; however, there was some foul language used when conversing in the hallway between themselves. It would be nice if the other person in my party would have been able to check in prior to my arrival. As it was she had to pay for the room.

When I checked in, I was given room 208 which was below par for a Microtel Hotel. The protective guard on the door had been broken off. I didn't feel safe. I asked for a different room but was told this was the last one. So, Kimmie, a great staffer, installed a new one. Then, the TV remote didn't work. Kimmie tried 12 other remotes installing new batteries. None worked. I asked for my $$ back. She had to call her manager, who told her to put me in room 205....an excellent room.

Clean, comfortable, good temperature control, and ideal location for a runner such as myself who was there primarily to run the Sunburst 10K race as well as attend several meetings on campus. One can run onto campus from the Microtel just a few hundred yards down Dixie Highway. Driving to the public parking areas south of the Joyce ACC building via Douglas Road takes a matter of very easy driving minutes. I can understand that the pandemic virtually eliminated breakfast and the room was only made up fully once on request and very minimally on second request, in a total of 5 days and nights. The one big negative is that no one on staff wore a face mask in my presence!

NO MASKS!! Even during breaks, not one staff member relaxing in the lounge area wore a mask! I expected this in general among workers in a Red state such as Indiana but would have expected a hospitality organization to have mandated them for their employees.

Clean room, clean bathroom, plenty of towels, comfortable bed. Front desk receptionist was polite and helpful.

Upon checking in, you have to pay $50 deposit fee for incidentals, such as smoking in the room, any damage, etc. It gets refunded back to you when checking out.

Location and price

Bath towels - one was very nice and the other one was very thin and stained with something blue. I had to ask the young woman at the front desk to clean the air conditioner filters which were thick with dust. That should be a maintenance or housekeeping task, and should be done frequently. No guest should have to find them filthy, as I did.

The place itself was a good value for the price. The staff was very friendly and the place including the room in the dining area was very clean and orderly.

The shower in our room leaked. It was OK because I didn’t hear it but I felt bad that the leak was happening. Other than that everything was clean and functional.

The room was clean and comfortable. The check-in went quickly and smoothly. The bed was firm and I slept very well. Thank you.

Although I typically do not expect much from the breakfast, there really was very little choice. I ended up just having hot tea.
