Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs

The whole stay was awesome! The layout of the room was well thought out. The jacuzzi was superb, the room was spotless and that shower was gorgeous!!! It was our 5 year anniversary. So we really enjoyed our stay !💫💫💫💫💫

The only thing we weren't too jazzed about was the smell of the lobby. We understand it's a casino, but the smell of cigarettes lingered from the entrance to the elevators. Thankfully you couldn't smell it once you hit the 4th floor and there was no smoking allowed where we were so we didn't have to deal with the stentch of it for too long. Also room service wasn't available that day, unfortunately. We could've used some treats and champagne. But no biggie :)

Breakfast was good. There was limited options for dinner. Was disappointed at the lack of table games offered. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The location was good.

There could be more options for dining. We were disappointed in the lack of table games offered. Also, while playing machines or at the card tables I think drinks should be comped. I definitely would like to see a better variety of card games at the tables.

Glad Bellas was open. THE HOTEL WAS EXCELLENT IN WELCOMES. EVERY PERSON SPOKE TO US. FROM CHECK IN TO CHECK OUT. Liked our rooms. Could see the river. Food in Sportsbar was very good. We won in the casino. I want to add the bedding is lovely soft comfy.

The Ameristar is lovely but it is showing its wear. Cracks in shower, baseboards mostly scratched, it seemed smoky by the elevators to the rooms.

Location was great. We go for the casino and enjoyed that. Our room was great except I requested a walk in shower but didn't get it.

I requested a walk in shower when I made my reservation because I am slightly handicapped but did not get a room with that request and I made the request when I made my reservation. My son and I have stayed at Ameristar several times and have always enjoyed our stay.

OMG driving through the construction mess was a nightmare, even for our GPS. Lovely CASINO, but all these handprints on windows going in? Who is cleaning? Makes me judge the rest, based on entry door (and I get the lack of care of guests, but the next day, the same handprints?) Loved the one dining place/bar...good food too Room was lovely, but if front doors are an indication, need to clean all hand stuff: knobs, switches, controls, etc We enjoyed our stay, but hope they re-develop their attractions, etc

No coffee is a sin! Holiday Inn's was typical lacking good taste

Very clean and inviting. Loved the huge tub in our room and the bed. I had to buy the same mattress today. Never been more relaxed in a suite before.

I wish the food was open later on Sundays but I understand it’s Sunday night.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Food was great!! We ate in the Sports Bar and breakfast in the little restaurant in lobby. Facility clean.

Facility dated. Ventilation not very good so the smell of cigarette smoke was strong as soon as you walked in.

The staff were extremely helpful with my elderly parents. The food was good from the restaurant.

I should have gotten a handicap assessable room because the toilet was really low for elderly people.

We came for our third anniversary and had a great stay! Love love love the jacuzzi tub. The staff was so friendly and gave us a credit to the bar for it being our anniversary.

We asked to use our military discount but since I booked through booking.com we didn’t get to use the discount which was really disappointing.

Very nice. I was able to get a wheel chair for my husband since there was a fair amount of walking to get to room, casino etc. walking not a complaint, but the staff was very accommodating in getting a wheel chair. Rooms very comfy and parking a breeze.

We lost at blackjack! Not their fault!
