My Place Hotel-Council Bluffs/Omaha East, IA0

This is where we had our best sleep during our road trip from San Jose to Chicago. And we stayed at various chain hotels the past four nights (Best Western, Motel 6 & Super 8). The location was right outside downtown Omaha (10 mins drive) with plenty of parking spots (easy parking for a U-haul towing a vehicle). It is next to the AMC theater, so more parking spots if needed. Check-in and check-out were easy and fast. We were given a room on the 4th floor. You do hear some trucks passing on the highway occasionally, but otherwise, it was really quiet. The room was spacious, with very comfortable bedding and pillows. A full-size fridge was provided in the room, but you’d need to bring pots, plates, and utensils if you plan on cooking. The shower pressure was strong, and everything was clean. This is a great hotel to stay at, especially given the rate per night. Breakfast is extra, but there are options to eat elsewhere around the hotel. There was also an indoor pool that we didn’t get to use. I highly recommend this hotel.

the property was very well-kept and clean. it was quiet for the most part as well. the staff was so friendly and greeted us from the counter whether we were coming or going. the little store had items that we could purchase which came in handy because we forgot a few things. location was not bad either. close to the edge of council bluffs and Omaha and fairly close to the places we were visiting.

the walls were a little thin. the person staying next to us set their alarms for around 4:30 each morning, and then it continued to go off for hours. I think we finally heard it get shut off around 8. we were on the 3rd floor and the second night there was someone running back and forth over our heads until around 1 a.m.

I did not purchase the breakfast because the room allowed for my small family to bring our own food and store in the refrigerator and cook on the stovetop. What a fantastic room!

I do have to agree with many previous reviews that the beds are not comfortable. I am not picky when it comes to beds, but this definitely was uncomfortable. I even alternated each night between beds, and they were equally awful. I've been known to sleep on pull out couches, roll aways, the floor even... Any of those options may have been more comfortable. Yes, I know it sounds picky...

The property was clean and well maintained.

On the second morning I went to the desk to ask for another coffee pouch and cups (since we used the one provided the first morning of our two night stay and was told I could buy one, I explained this was our second night and she said “well that’s because we don’t have daily housekeeping, you can get coffee in the breakfast room” (which also serves no breakfast). Only negative about the stay otherwise it was a nice comfortable place.

Usually we stay in more upscale hotels, but saw the positive reviews and decided to take a chance on this one. We are so glad we did! It was extremely clean, each employee we encountered was super friendly and helpful, and the pet fee was only $10! There was a pet area to include disposal bags, as well. Perfect for one night for our family while passing through the area.

There was not a drive-under awning in front of the lobby. While the weather was nice during our stay, I could see how it would be inconvenient to unload luggage in the elements while raining. Also, there were four pillows per bed, but they were the small square ones.

Breakfast did not exist. They had a small market if you were hungry.

We were given a room on the first floor when we registered. The next morning we were ready to leave. The air did not work right and was loud.....then there was not working electrical plug in the bathroom. The desk was very nice about moving us to another room that was MUCH better. We stayed 6 nights after that and was very happy. I do'nt think they have updated the first floor. No cooking supplies in room. Could purchased them in their store.

I needed a spot to stay to break up my drive with my dog from Denver to Chicago and this hotel was absolutely perfect! For the price I paid it was honestly nicer than I expected - incredibly clean room and a really comfortable bed. I also had told them it was my dog's birthday while we stayed there in my booking and they left a card and some treats for him which was so, so nice!! I do this drive a few times every year and will definitely be staying here again in the future.

I loved everything! The front desk staff members were great and very knowledgeable , the rooms were very clean when we arrived . my kids loved the pool so much !! Definitely recommend and want to come back !!

I loved everything except for housekeeping lady that we had never came into our room and when we asked she still didn’t come until my husband had to ask twice ! She also stole my lottery tickets and one of them was a 20$ winner!

Clean and easy on off from interstate without being too close to road noise. Basic and very clean but expected that there would be some dishes in the full kitchen to eat yogurts etc and there was nothing other than paper cups. Extremely expensive for what it was (no breakfast); apparently because there was a baseball tournament in town and very few rooms available. We were just overnighting for 7 hours on road trip.

Sarah at the front desk was awesome. She asked us which floor we preferred & when we couldn't figure out why the TV wouldn't get signal (someone had unhooked the HDMI cable) she came to our room promptly & had us in business in a few minutes. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Lots of restaurant options nearby and an AMC/IMax theater close.

There was no continental breakfast, but we could have paid to eat. There was coffee & a vending machine.
