I needed a room close to eye surgeon within close proximity for post-op & follow-up appt the next day. The staff immediately acknowledged my request for early check-in & adjusted my reservation. They let me pay ahead due to no vision following surgery. They helped me to my room, provided bottled water, and offered to prepare breakfast & bring it to my room. The entire saff was so accommodating, friendly, and appr3ciative for my business.

Nice room. Beds very nice with firm mattresses. On a road trip back home from Arizona so only grabbed a bite and a sleep before hitting the road in the morning.

The shower water pressure was not very strong, but it may have just been the type of shower head they used. Also just a note that the toilet is not very tall. As a senior with some back issues, I need to remember to make sure that they have ADA taller toilets available.

Melissa who told me her name was Melinda was very rude and put out checking me in. I apoligized for bothering her and told her she was rude. She repeated several times I've done nothing wrong and I will ask you to leave. I was very uncomfortable the length of time she had my driver's license and credit card. I put watches on them to prevent any problems. Everyone else was very welcoming and friendly.

The lady (Angi) at the reservation counter was running everything. She was absolutely great doing her job and taking care of business. Whoever owns this hotel should make sure they pay her for what's she worth. If had a hotel, she would be the first person I would hire. Thanks Angi for making our trip to Des Moines an enjoyable one.

The rooms were clean and well maintained during our 9 day stay. The room cleaning staff were exceptional. The location was very good, as well as parking space. Outside appearance was clean and well maintained.

The breakfast sausage should be rendered down more, and the coffee machine should be thrown out. Over all the breakfast was ok. The little man in charge of the kitchen, and working the front counter when we checked out should be re-trained in customer service or just fired. The screws in the drawer handles are the wrong length, (too short) and the hot and cold water lines to the washing machine were backward.

The breakfast selection the juice machine was not working and there was no sign so I was fumbling with it thinking it was working but it wasn't. Also just not much available and the warm options was biscuits and gravy, not a fan of.

the room was much bigger than I expected it to be. we joked about how we could easily sleep 10 people in the room. Also it was very close to everything we did (food/entertainment)

It was a clean, nice facility.

Apparently there is a bike theft issue in the area. Unfortunately no one warned us before our bikes got stolen from the rack on our vehicle so we could take extra precautions. We were parked under a camera but the person at the front desk didn't know how to check the cameras. We ended up filing a police report and continuing on our trip back home. The continental breakfast is a brown bag with a bottle of water, orange, yogurt, frozen breakfast sandwich, and large muffin. A generous amount of food.

The entrance attractive, bedroom decor and bed comfort great, the morning breakfast good.

The shower water did not get very warm. Wish there was a bathtub too. Rooms facing the street were a little noiser.
