Bluegrass Inn

Our room was on the back side of the hotel away from the road which I appreciated very much. It was very neat, clean and comfortable. We were out all day at horse farm tours so appreciated the value and location. The Rebecca Ruth candy store next door was really handy - who doesn't like chocolate at the end of a day of touring! Seriously, we will stay here again due to both the value and the location.

Breakfast could've had some protein such as breakfast sandwiches. But it was adequate for a quick bite before heading out.

Location was good for our needs. Price was decent. Of all the places we stayed on our trip, this place had the cleanest bathtub/shower and we stayed at some of the more expensive chains. Everything seemed clean and beds were comfortable. Outdoor pool looked nice. We didn’t use it because it was closed due to lightning. It is good they keep an eye on those things.

When we got there our room door was wide open. I’m not sure if that is how they tell that the room has been cleaned or part of the welcoming for guests to make it easier for carrying in luggage, but I didn’t care for this due to safety reasons. Our room had a bad odor that we didn’t care for. It was like an old smell. It did get a little better once we closed the door and turned on the AC. Maybe this was once a smoking room or other rooms around it are smoking. It just wasn’t a fresh smell although everything appeared to be clean in the room. Breakfast was very minimal, but at least they offered something (coffee, tea, cereal, waffles and store bought mini cinnamon rolls). The waffle iron could use a fresh cleaning.

Nice clean and comfortable ,well maintained, clean bathroom, nice 50 inch tv over all good value for the basics needs.if you want clean and affordable good place to stay.

Had to get extra coffee from front desk because was not replaced every morning , the bath to drain did not stay up so the water filled the tub, and the tub was slippery need the non slip stick pads so you can not slip and fall. Wish the breakfast had a few more options.

The hotel is very dated. But it was very clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. Staff were all very nice and courteous. I live in Frankfort so I was only here waiting to take possession of a new house. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the bed comfort.

It was fine. Just very dated but I didn't need fancy bedspreads and such. I only needed a place to sleep that accepted pets for a couple of days.

Good size room with comfortable beds. Good size bathroom facilities and shower was really hot. Breakfast was basic but enough to fill you up. Free parking and very convenient location. A few minutes into Frankfort town centre and a minute from interstate 64 for a quick getaway to the next stop.

Nothing in particular. It provided what we needed for the 2 night stay we were making.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Access to restaurants and Frankfort locations was good. Liked the retro motor court feel to the place. The outdoor pool would be a nice touch with children in the summer.

Breakfast was very light with only carbohydrates, (cereal, breads, pancakes or waffles) offered. Nothing for those of us watching our sugar. Would also liked to have had a reading lamp next to the room chair.

Cleanliness of the bathroom was exceptional. Looks like they recently remodeled the bathroom. Also, the bed was very comfortable, the noise level low and staff especially friendly, helpful & kind.

The bedroom floor was needing replaced. There was a slight odor when we first went in but became less as we were there a while...like a musty smell.

We were greeted warmly upon our late evening arrival. I requested a lower level room and one was provided. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was clean and there was good water pressure with plenty of warm water. The towels are of a good thickness and smell fresh.

Add non-slip strips to the tub in room 108...the tub is very smooth and slippery. The top sheet had some dark, blue colored stains on it. The sheets were comfortable but did not look as pleasant as they could.

Friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool area was nice after a long day. The staff made sure we had a ground floor room for my limited mobility spouse.

Ice machine was broken but ice was available at the office. For an older motel, it was a great stay for a reasonable rate.

We had been on the road for 12 hours when we pulled in to the Bluegrass Inn to get a night’s sleep. Imagine our horror when it was discovered I had booked for the next night! I had visions of trying to scramble to find a new hotel but Mr. Patel the manager/owner was so nice. He said there was no problem in switching my booking to that night. What a relief! Even better we had a first floor room. The room was super clean. The two queen beds were comfy and it took us no time to fall asleep. This is a functional hotel without all the fancy amenities but it has what you need. There is an outdoor pool and plenty of ice. The price was fantastic too. It is near a busy road but we weren’t bothered by noise of any kind. The Bluegrass Inn is a great choice for budget travelers or for anyone looking for a clean, safe place to stay. It is obvious that the management takes pride in this establishment and in providing service to their customers.
