SpringHill Suites by Marriott Baton Rouge South

The rooms were large and the TV was amazing!! Loved the gentleman that booked us in during the evening. He was very nice and accommodating. We needed more bedding for the boys and he found us some. My wife said His nails were cool as well!!! Also love the free cookies each evening! Kids really enjoyed that treat!

One thing but not a deal breaker .. the pool was no longer there. That is one of our kids go to activities. But we found a water park in the city and it was awesome!

We were traveling on motorcycles and the ease of parking up front was great. Most places don't have that convenience of motorcycle parking

I didn't like having to pay in advance. Received a call from a manager(can't remember his position) that payment was needed right away or I would be charged a higher rate upon check in($119 was what I booked, was told $199 would be expected if I waited to pay at check in) So I had to pay in advance to keep the rate I was given on Booking.com Never had this happen before, felt very uncomfortable doing so.

I loved the location, it was close to a lot of places. Very clean, and comfortable! The front desk was super kind, one lady in particular, I can’t remember her name, but it was a black lady with dreads! The room had a refrigerator and microwave, which was very convenient! I hope to stay here again!

The walls are kinda thin, so you can hear others if there being extra loud. But it wasn’t bad!

It was extremely clean and maintained! The staff was excellent as well.

Small thing… The shower did not have anything to place a bar of soap on. I normally bring my own soap and had to sit it on the shower floor because there was no area in the shower that holds soap or towels (in the shower).

When I stayed here, they were renovating the front lobby, so access had to be from the side of the hotel. It wasn’t confusing, as there were signs everywhere directing people, and they even sent an e-mail before saying that renovations were being done and to be prepared for it, and I appreciate that :) The staff were super friendly - the check-in staff was really quick and professional, and she directed me to wait in the business center for a bit, while she got a room ready. And in a few minutes, I was checked-in, and everything was a breeze. I needed more towels and got more from housekeeping, who was so sweet and nice! Everyone was super polite and happy, it just felt so welcoming. ☺️👍🏼 The room itself was great - there was a kitchen area, fully equipped, lots of room, comfy sofa, and the bathroom was just the right size, big TV with lots of TV channels, and beds were soft too. Looking forward to staying here again!!

Clean and spacious room. My request to accommodate us in the room that doesn't have any other guests staying below us was met. As a parent of three toddlers that likes to jump around in the room, meeting the request about room selection at the time of booking was all I can ask for. The room had USB ports in wall sockets for charging the iPads for kids.

No issues to report.

Breakfast was good. Would have liked wheat bread but English muffins were good

I could not charge my phone on any of the chargers in the room. Had to go buy one.

I loved the location, it was easy to get to all we wanted to do, very friendly staff and clean rooms.

The free breakfast was one of the reasons I stayed there. But it was horrible. Not a good selection of anything. and what was there was dried out. We didn't eat anything. left there and went to Ihop

It is less than 5 minutes from several hospitals. Great place to stay when you have to be at a hospital super early. It is also right at the I-10 and 1-12 interstates. The whole area plus New Orleans and Lafayette are an hour away or less. We knew the hotel was being renovated. We received many emails reminding us. We have stayed here before so we already knew.

They are almost finished with their renovation. There is a lot of mud outside.

I loved this hotel. Cookies in the lobby, super comfortable beds, and the price was awesome!

The only thing that I wasn’t impressed with was the elevator. ugh! it was slow. we only used it to take luggage up and down but it was super small and slow.
