I didn't have breakfast as I don't think breakfast was included. I did make myself a couple cups of tea in the kitchen/dining area. I think you could have used some of your own food in that facility. This is a wonderful place to stay. Most highly recommended. I would definitely try to book it if I were to visit New Orleans again. It is walkable from the train station although Google Maps does not provide the best route for getting there.

I was told I could leave my pack under the stairs until 3 pm check-in. The door was locked and there was a phone number. Unfortunately, my phone did not have cell service so I could not make contact. Luckily I ran into the housekeeper coming out and she let me in, showed me to my room and gave me the codes. In the evening when I was checking my email, I found that they had sent me the code information. I wasn't expecting an email before check-in and had no way of accessing it. Not sure what would have happened if I hadn't run into the housekeeper.

Amazing place. A classic New Orlean style house filled with all the 'special' vibes of this wonderful city. It's extremely clean and much bigger than any other accommodation at such a price. The most important thing... you feel that they respect you as a customer and as a human being. Also, it's close to the downtown and the historic French Quarter - about 20 minutes walking distance (I never used a streetcar but there are two different choices if you like). A HUGE PLUS - Melissa. She's such a great person and ready to help you with anything. Also a great singer 😉

The only minor thing is the water pressure of the sink in the bathroom.

We loved the house. Pictures don't even show how big is this place. We had a very comfortable, clean and spacious room with external private bathroom. There was no one else on the upper floor so we felt like home. We had plenty of towels, hair dryer and nicely equipped kitchen. Check-in instructions were very clear. Thank you Melissa for making our stay comfortable and memorable. The house is a genuine New Orlean's experience.

Its not really about property, because I cannot say anything bad about the room or house or facilities. But it's good to know that the street where the house is located is near quite dodgy area. Tip from us: Just don't walk to the center, get a Tram (Streetcar) which is located nearby and its only 1.25$. Its a super cool ride and experience.

The location was great. A quick 5-minute walk to the street car, which was only $3/day for unlimited public transportation. The housekeeper, Melissa, was WONDERFUL!!!! So much fun to talk to, she made us feel like family and was constantly providing great recommendations for anything we asked for. (She is the middle person in the attached group selfie.) The BED and PILLOWS were AMAZING. I honestly commented to my hubby about these everyday...they were the MOST COMFORTABLE bed and pillows I've ever slept on. The temperature of the room was always perfect. We were there in January, and the heater always went on and off at the perfect time to make it consistently very comfortable.

Great location, super flexible with check in (my room was ready several hours early and they let me in as soon as I arrived). Melissa is very warm and friendly and keeps the place in great condition. I was able to add on an extra night last minute, and Travis was very helpful.

Really nothing to complain about. The bathrooms are not attached (i.e. they are private, but you have to go out into the hallway to access them), and there is a number code to enter, but its not a big deal.

The house is lovely, a typical creole house and the decor, with attention to every detail contributes to the pleasure of your stay. It's not far from the city center, which can easily be reached with trolley and buses, and nearby there is the artistic district. Melissa is amazing, and a great singer! My suggestion is to improve the room lightening. Thank you!

WG Creole House is an absolutely wonderful place to stay: beautifully appointed, meticulously clean, and conveniently located, within walking distance of downtown, the convention center, Canal Street, and the French Quarter. Melissa is a wonderfully friendly innkeeper who is passionate about her city and wants all her guests to experience the best of New Orleans, including experiences and dining to be had off the beaten path. This place will be our go-to for all future visits to the Crescent City!

Nothing about the property itself—it was fantastic. Guests should be aware that Clio Street itself is torn up right now with construction, so be aware if you take Uber in or are rolling luggage along the street. Hopefully it should be finished soon. Nearby are overpasses under which several people stay in tents—it might look sketchy, but nobody bothered us and it’s pretty harmless…I say that as a native Chicagoan who knows dangerous areas when I see them. The surrounding neighborhood is actually charming and then the other side of the overpass leads to the hip Warehouse District.

Hotel was very good. I had the room downstairs. Plenty of room and a private bathroom just outside the room. I only met the housekeeper since it's a self check in hotel. They send you a code for the front door and your room. She was very nice and loved to chat. Always asked if there was anything I needed.

The neighborhood is not the best place to go outside after dark with a lot of homeless. I don't know if anywhere else is going to be different since I stayed in for that reason.

Beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean house. Felt like I was living in my own antebellum home. Loved being able to go downstairs and making coffee in the beautiful kitchen the next morning. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was updated and very pretty . Great wifi. Short walk to the St. Charles streetcar line. Would definitely return again when wanting a Nola getaway.

Lovely- Clean and comfortable. Melissa was fantastic. We used the kitchen for coffee each morning, everything was provided. It is an up and coming area but great for transport to Garden City( Tramcar 12 is 4mins walk). the other way the Tramcar will take you to Bourbon Street/Canal. We got the 91 bus from Ortega Castle Haley Blvd to the Botanics. If we come back to New Orleans, which we would love to do, we would come back here.

Nothing.
